Just took my sausage rolls out of the oven, as directed from the recipe from Rasamalaysia. I was not the only one giddy with joy at the golden, puffy, soft, and HUMONGOUS buns they turned out to be!
Aside, I need to get a new camera as my Canon SD1200 is finally feeling its age after being juggled daily in my purse, dropped countless times, and soaked in rain (open-domed concerts, yay). Any suggestions for a good P&S? I'm thinking of the Panasonic Lumix LX-5, as I would like to become familiar with manual control before purchasing a DSLR. Thoughts?

and for the camera, in my opinion,
P&S compact cameras are:
Sony cybershot HX100V, HX9V, or TX10
Canon PowerShot SX40 HS, S100, or ELPH 510 HS
I'm not fan of Nikon, but they have cameras better quality for low light.
for entry-level DSLR cameras are:
canon EOS Rebel series (I recommended Rebel T3i and Good accessories such as lenses)
nikon D3100 and good accessories.
buying starter kits and used kits will be help too.
go to dpreview.com and read reviews and compare and going to the stores will also help.

I think you pretty well covered it! If your friends have a DSLR you can try out, or the store has a "Working" display model, definitely give them a try.

Thanks for the camera suggestions! I'll consider the Canons in addition to the LX5. I'll have to get to know DSLR settings before buying one!
