Mio Headphone - AKG K701
I purchased these AKG K701 headphones after much consideration and deliberation because first Im a noob when it comes to headphones, always sticking to my Creative speakers as a mean of sound and second i was at a point where i needed one due to the fact that i always get complaints about being to loud.
I didnt know where to start, until i watched K-ON! the fictional character known as Akiyama Mio who wore those AKG headphones for a couple of minutes. It took A LOT of convincing to make me purchase these after weeks of research mostly out of curiosty; I have to say I’m impressed.
The point that i want to make, is how much Anime can influence decisions sometimes. I had no idea which headphones to get, but just because Mio wore them and that it was from an actual real product, that convinced me.

Congratulations. Those are very fine headphones.
They are very fine indeed! :-)
very nice dude
Hmm Mio made it look more charming :P But this ain't to bad either to look at
I take that as a complement haha!
plz do not plug them into and Ipod, i'll never buy another Ipod in my llife until apple sorts out the bad sound quality. Sony Mp3 players have the best sound quality to go with a high def headphone.
Sony MP3 players and iPods are no different, if you use the same sound files.
Even then, unless you're using really bad quality encodings, you won't notice too much of a difference, despite what audiophiles say.
well i used the same mp3 file and headphone (not the cheap apple headphone) on an ipod touch and a sony mp3 player. on the ipod i can hear bass distortion and cracking noise but on the sony player only smooth sound.
try using a integrated sound card and a discrete external card with a good amp and speakers - u can hear it the difference.
I would never do such a thing!
get a good amp, highly needed. I have a E11 amp that I thought was amazing when using with AKG K701.
Ye i got myself a good amp, the poject amp 2.
Yeah I've got the K702s (Basically the 701 with detachable cable and its blue), you really do need the best amp possible. I originally used an ipod w/dock out to a portable amp (iBosso T3) but when I bought my Little Dot Mk V... seriously you just would never go back.
I finally decided to get the Mio headphone because it is the mio headphone even though I knew I wouldn't like the sound... and I don't.
But hey, it looks cool and it is the Mio headphone so it sits there looking pretty.
Those are some very nice looking headphones.
Grats!
I love those headphones.
Running mine with a DAC and a Darkvoice amp and I just love the sound. :)
