Randomness #2

Posted by Miette-chan [www]

Once again, I dumped a handful of unrelated pictures I had laying around in blog post. As always you can see the small write up and the rest of the pictures at the blog.

Tell me what you think of the pictures and blog lay out.

I will also like this opportunity to ask you comrades what camera to get I been thinking of getting the popular Lumic LX3. One of my friends told me to just get a DSLR, what should I do, and which ones do you recommend?

Anyways here are a few of the pictures

Honestly, it depends on what you want to do with the camera. The LX3 is great for carrying around and fast shooting. The fast lens also makes it nicely flexible in its use. The image quality out of it is probably on par with many low-end DSLR cameras. If I was going to make a comparison I'd say it's similar to what I was gettiong out of our old Canon 300D with the stock 18-55mm lens.

That said: a DSLR, even a cheap one, with a good lens on it will still chew it up and spit it out. If you're not so concerned about lug-ability and price then I'd go the DSLR. The DSLR will also let you upgrade more easily than the LX3 will and more importantly the image-sensor is much larger (in terms of physical size if not megapixels) so you'll get a sharper image.

So yeah, my money would be on the DSLR. However, at the end of the day it doesn't matter what you're using, it's about the person behind the camera. Looking at your photos you shouldn't have too many issues, that last one of Haruhi at the window's particularly cool.

Yuki looks great! She looks like a Stormtrooper with the helmet off and armed with a lightsaber!
