Dakimakura Collection 11
And now another update.
First up the lovely C.C. from Code Geass, this one was made by Movic and is a smooth knit. In general the material is quite nice, though the image seems very slightly faded on part of her behind on the reverse side, as if the printer was a tad low on ink ;< Still she's absolutely lovely.
Back side. DAT ASS indeed.
The fading I mentioned isn't particularily noticeable unless super close up, so it's no big problem.
Next is Suzutsuki Kanade the ojou-sama from Mayo Chiki!, partaking of her hobby of pretending to be a maid here on this cover. This one is by Movic as well, but it's unfortunately made of a polyester suede material, so it's not stretchy at all and has pretty horrible folds on it that would need ironing out.
Back side. I don't recall Kanade wearing this in the series, which is a bit of a shame ;<
Yagyuu Jyubei from Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls, made by Cospa and smooth knit material. As always their smooth knit is very thin and the other side shows through if you don't.

Sousou from koihime musou, this one was another bonus item included with Dengeki Festival COMIC. While there's no problems with the material or print quality, I think the image on it is not nearly as nice as the comiket version of Sousou which I showed back in part 2.

I like dakimakura but I don't have the courage nor the money to get one.
The price is definitely high for dakimakura, most people generally start by getting one of the "free" ones with Dengeki Festival or Dengeki Festival COMIC which generally go for 2.5k-4k yen rather than a proper dakimakura's 8k-11k price tag. Beware that shipping for Dengeki Festival COMIC can be very high as the comic is very thick and heavy, Dengeki festival tends to be a very slim magazine so the shipping is not as huge. Obviously never buy one just for the sake of buying one though, go for one with an image you really love!
As for having the courage, well that will come in time I guess ^^

I bought it from Animate when they did a rerelease of it back in late 2009. To get her now the only hope would be finding it on auction somewhere second hand, or getting a bootleg copy of it. Looking at Yahoo Japan Auctions right now there doesn't appear to be any of the official one up for auction.
That ass on C.C. Is amazing. Simply stunning! I wish more daki's had ass shots. :)
Hmm I think a lot of dakimakura do have ass shots, just usually not quite as perfect ones as C.C. here.
Being a big ass fan myself there's quite a fair few in my collection, in fact I think there's ass shots to a varying degree of exposure in every collection post so far, and nearly half of my collection seems to have some amount of ass showing on 1 side. I think my favourites would be:

There is a 2nd dakimakura cover of her coming out soon from Chara-Hai btw, http://chara-h.ocnk.net/product/371 Their smooth knit versions normally appear in the normal shops (amiami, hlj, otacute, HS, etc) but for some reason the smooth knit of this one never did, and it's sold out (on preorder already). Perhaps it's some kind of exclusive. Anyway, the 2 way tricot (made by AJ, woo!) version which I linked above is actually barely still in stock for preordering (it was out of stock at the end of the preorder deadline, but later came back in stock due to some cancelled orders perhaps.. likely there's not many of them left either way). It should be released at the end of this month (the 28th).
So the second one you say might be coming out for preorder at the usual online anime shops like you mentioned (cuz Im now diggin the 2nd one haha)
Normally I would think so, but this one (and also their new charlotte from Infinite Stratos one) seems odd. Typically, the smooth knit version will appear for order on the Chara-Hai site and then about a week or so later it also turns up on amiami/HS. However for this one, it has been a month or more and it has not yet appeared, also the smooth knit version preorder from Chara-hai is being shown as sold out.
The Shikuza dakimakura cover from kampfer (their 2nd one of her) was released on their site later than this suzutsuki one, yet came up for order from the usual anime shops weeks ago now. There is still a small chance of (the smooth knit Chara-Hai) Suzutsuki appearing in the usual online stores once the release date is reached, but I wouldn't gamble on it. The 2way Tricot material version will definitely not appear in any of the usual shopes (the 2way tricot versions are always exclusive to the chara-hai site).

More mainstream (as in made by mainstream companies like Cospa, Chara-Hai, Surfer's Paradise etc..) dakimakura I get from the normal online shops:

Some I get via Yahoo Japan Auctions ( http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/ )
The rest I get via the dakimakura blog ( http://blog.埋もれる抱き枕er.jp/ , NSFW, you may need to copy paste the url into your address bar for it to work). Which gives information on where things are released, and links to specific webshops (typically only selling within japan for non-mainsteram ones). Auctions and japan-only webshops require the use of a proxy service which means additional fees to get them.
