Following Rin
Well all but one person who expressed an opinion said to follow Rin, so the advice was clear. We pick up from the last frame of the previous story.
Asuka: "Well that was pathetic. But I must say I'm glad to see the porn star is only here because she's part of the help. Maybe I've misjudged your household a little bit scripple."
scripple: "Wow, Rin seems pretty upset. I need to go make sure she's ok. Sorry but we'll have to get together at another time Asuka."
Asuka: "What?!?! You're going to stiff me to go check on the help?!"
*scripple gets up to leave*
Asuka: "Sit back down you idiot! There's no way you're skipping out on me to go check on her!! You need to explain to me about this madhouse! I can't believe you'd...."
scripple: "ASUKA! Shut it!"
Asuka: "Whaaaaat?!"
scripple: "I'm not some doormat like Shinji and you will NOT speak to me that way! I'm going to go make sure Rin is ok and we will meet LATER. And I expect you to be more civil at that time. Now I'm leaving and that's it!"
Asuka: "Hmmph! Jerk."
*scripple leaves*
Asuka: "Hmmmm, did some guy actually just stand up to me? That was kinda cool."
Saber: "Oh, I knew I heard the sound of a chip bag. We've been strangely out of chips for a long time now."
Asuka *startled (hopes she wasn't overheard)*: "What? Oh, it's the hippy chick. What are you wearing?!?"
Saber: "Oh, it's my Halloween costume. It's a refrigerator. It's so convenient I might never take it off."
Saber: "Ugh, can't reach the floor, could you hand me the chips please?"
Asuka: "Sour cream and onion eh? Sounds good, but not with grape juice."
Saber: "Hey, aren't you going to hand them to me?"
Asuka: "What else do you have in here? Oh, root beer. That sounds good."
Saber: "Wait, those are mine."
Asuka: "Oh here, have the can of octopus things. Yuck." (Really, the graphics on the can are an octopus.)
Saber: "But I wanted the chips. We've been out for so long."
Asuka: "I'm heading back to the living room to make sure fox girl and her little friend didn't break my PSP. Enjoy your octopus."
Saber: "Eh, it'll do."
*In the back of the house*
scripple: "Oh hey Yukino, you haven't seen Rin around here have you?"
Rin: "What?"
scripple: "Oh Rin, is that you? I thought it was Yukino that moped in corners. I saw the dark hair and assumed it was her."
Rin: "Now you can't even tell me apart from Yukino? *sniff* Why? What have I done? Why did you replace me with Asuka?" *sniff*
scripple: "I was joking Rin, I knew it was you. And you haven't been replaced, not by Asuka or anyone else. Is that what's been bothering you lately? Please look at me Rin."
Rin: "Of course that's what's been bothering me. First you actually punished me and then Asuka arrived. What am I supposed to think?" *sniff* "I don't know why but every time I think about all this it hurts right here in my chest and I feel sick. I don't want to be replaced scripple! Please take me back. I promise I'll fix whatever I did wrong." *sniff*
scripple: "Aww Rin, you haven't done anything wrong, well, at least not anymore than normal. *uh-hum* I mean, nothing's changed between the two of us. I told you way back when other girls first started arriving that I wouldn't replace you and that you'd always be special to me, and nothing's changed that. Not Asuka's arrival and nothing you've done. I'm here chasing after you after all, and not with Asuka."
Rin: "So I'm still your special one? Then can we please spend the rest of the day together? It would mean so much to me."
scripple: "Sure Rin, we can spend the day together. There's plenty of places for you to clean in my office today."
*Rin's expression slowly moves towards anger*
scripple: "Again, just kidding! Let's spend the day together, you can have some snacks and I'll read you some stories. Ok?"
Rin: "Ok!"
Rin: "But can we start with a hug?? Pleaaaaaase???"
scripple: "How can I say no to that? Ok Rin, hug away."

Already commented on the forum but I wanted to comment here again. Not only did I love the story, but I loved the poses in these photos. My favorites are when Asuka thinks you're cool for standing up to her and when you first find Rin in the corner with her shoes kicked off looking so vulnerable. Great job overall!
Thanks for the comments here and on the forum. Oddly my favorite pose from this set is probably the one where Asuka is standing in front of Saber and fixing her hair. It just turned out looking really natural IMHO (and it's back behind her shoulder in the next frame as if she'd fixed it).

At least I followed the advice right? I'm glad you enjoyed Rin's photos and Saber's costume. I hope we can get Saber to give up the costume one of these days. She sure seems to like it. :D

Thank you for noticing the posing. I try to make the poses natural and have them convey what the girls are thinking or doing. ^^

She looks so touched. I love the way your pics show your girls to be so expressive. Even though I know DDs can't change their expressions, I see it in your stories.
Thanks. DDs can't change facial expressions, but body language is a big part of expression. So by using body language and different angles on the face it is possible to alter their overall expression.
Great story again! I think Asuka likes to be told what's what.

Another reason its good you followed Rin over staying with Asuka. Asuka can yell and scream all she wants, but Rin has a Magic Crest and might have a stockpile of gems you don't know about. She did manage to blast Berserker's head off with those.
So true. I've considered giving Rin some jewels, even have some nice red ones, but then I think I'd just be asking for trouble to let her have them. She's dangerous enough w/o them.
If I remember right, they can stockpile energy in ribbons too. Part of the significance behind the ones Rin and Sakura wear. How many of their outfits have ribbons? Add to that what she could have Saber do and yeah, she's probably got the equivalent of a nuke already. What's a few more hand grenades compared to that?
Hmm, I don't recall anything about the ribbons. What that in Hollow Attraxia? I didn't play that one. But I agree, even without stored energy she's got plenty to do damage (witness her shooting up a school room) and clearly Saber is a completely different level. I should probably just give them to her at some point. It will probably make her happier.
Thinking about it, I remember Rin talking about it in English so it has to be in the anime. Though in the Heaven's Feel arch I think Rin does mention being happy Sakura kept the ribbons she made for her.
Hmm, that Heaven's Feel remark does ring a bell. Ah, getting old. There was a time when such details would have been easy for me to recall.
I felt sorry for Rin but I'm glad you were able to cheer her up but Saber hearing is astonishing lol
Thanks, I'm happy Rin is happier now too. As to Saber's hearing, yes she has very good senses. Every time there's a crinkle of a chip or candy bad I never know if it's going to be Saber or my dog that comes running first. XD

I think you're right. She's *very* lucky that Saber was wearing an outfit filled with precious food and even more importantly that Saber has been snacking on said food routinely for a while so her hunger is largely sated. I do think that Asuka in general has been pressing her luck with the F/SN girls though and it's going to bite her sooner or later. Part of what I want to talk to her about is to give her fair warning that those girls can be dangerous.
Yes, you'll want to warn her about issues with a few of your boarders there. =3 I'm sure sparks will still fly on occasion.... it wouldn't be Scripples House without it right? :P

Yes, I see the humor there but I was meaning that my comment wasn't funny seeing as how I hate seeing Yukino in that position and I still thought of her when I saw Rin like this. I'm just glad she's feeling better about things now. =3

Excellent story as always! The whole Saber bit with Asuka was so funny! I kind of felt bad for Saber not getting those chips she wanted. XD
And seeing you and Rin makeup was great. I really am glad that happened. I'm liking her more and more now and this really solidified that Rin has grown up a lot these past few months. =3

I'm glad you're enjoying Rin's growth. I'd like to see her develop a little more inner confidence though. I think she might be a little nicer if she didn't use bravado to make up for her insecurities.
