Japanese music in the UK

There have been a lot of Japanese bands in the UK recently. With the likes of Dir En Grey, Kanon x Kanon, Blood Stained Child, Guitar Wolf, Maximum the Hormone, Versailles and many other smaller bands, all playing/played this year!
I recently attended the 'Japan Underground' club night in London, where they held the the London show of the 'Kimono Records European Tour', featuring 'HONDALADY' (you may know them from the soundtrack of No More Heroes 2 for the wii), 'GalapagosS' (Formed by the guys from the popular Japanese band 'Floppy') and Tokyo Pinsalocks. These guys aren't very big at all in England, and aren't exactly all the rage in Japan, but still they tour and play great shows!
You can find my video of the show on youtube.
This just made me think, how many people listen to Japanese music? And is so, who?
There are a lot of smaller bands from Japan coming to the UK all the time now, with the help of companies like, 'Japan Underground' and 'It Came From Japan' who are devoted to featuring some of the most "underground" Japanese music.
