Gran Turismo 5's Downloadable Content
Today, the first ever Gran Turismo 5 DLC is now on sale and for me, I purchased the Complete Pack (costs about $11.99 US Dollars or 1,600 Japanese Yen) because it has all of the DLC packs such as the Racing Car Pack, Racing Gear Pack, Paint Pack, and the Course Pack.

Now this is a huge surprise. Putting on the Simpson Diamondback helmet and Alpinestars racing suit will make players become THE STIG. For those who don't know, THE STIG is Top Gear's tamed racing driver that assumes responsibility on the show's Power Lap Times. This combination looks cool for those who want to be The Stig.

This here is the Red Bull X2011 Prototype. Some say it was the successor of the Red Bull X2010 but when I tried it, it has the same feeling I had on the Red Bull X2010. I kinda like the carbon fiber though.
The track you seen here is Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, a world circuit where the Formula One Belgian GP takes place. This track seems to be tricky at first because of the twists, turns, and elevations, but if you get used to it, you can invite your online buddies to a race on this kind of racetrack.

Hey look! It's Petter Solberg! Kidding, that's just a special outfit to make players feel like Petter Solberg from the 2008 WRC Season. It's one of the 12 special outfits you can wear it on this game, making them feel like NASCAR racers such as Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, and Jeff Gordon or even WRC racers such as Sebastien Loeb from Citroen, Petter Solberg from Subaru(pictured above), Toni Gardemeister from Suzuki, and Mikko Hirvonen from Ford. Pretty cool huh?

Hold it! Is that The Stig? Oh yes, the original Stig. Most Top Gear fans remember that the previous Stig is colored black while the current Stig is colored white.
I have to recall that when this original Stig did a top speed and drowned himself along with a modified Jaguar at the HMS Invincible during the Series 3 opener of Top Gear.
Okay, forget about Stigs, but anyway, this track here is an original track called Kart Space. Only Racing Karts are allowed on this track and this is fun if you bring your online buddies along for a kart racing.

There are Touring Car versions of the Dodge Challenger SRT8, Honda CR-Z, Eunos Roadster, RX-7, Lancer Evolution X, R33 Skyline GT-R, R32 Skyline GT-R, R34 Skyline GT-R, WRX STi 4-door GVB, third-generation Prius, and GT-R R35, included in the Racing Car Pack and there's also the Racing Kart Jr., Racing Kart 100, and Racing Kart 125.

Effective today up until November 8, 2011, there's a bonus Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model and GT Academy PS3 Theme for those who've purchased the Complete Pack. Looks convenient and it made me happy enough.
I hope there will be more GT5 DLC on the way but in the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the first ever GT5 DLC.

loving the new DLC, not surprised you're first to post this up!
Ooh... those cars look nice indeed *_* are those cars also available in the dealers as well? and is the new X2011 just a model update for the X2010 or a different car?
Sadly I can't buy the DLC for now due to the region and account lock issues. Glad that I stumbled upon the news first.
My GT5 is US region, but I play it on my Indonesia PSN Account~. Also has a US account I usually use to purchase DLCs, but sadly for GT5, it's locked to the account, so I can't use them on my Indonesian account. I could simply play on the US account for sure, but that means starting from a scratch T_T since the savegame isn't transferrable between accounts.
Due to that issue, Kazunori Yamauchi got lots of responses from the players. He then stated that a new update regarding the DLC will come in December which will enable the DLC to be shared on different accounts, but still no mention about the different region problems.
Is that a matte paint job? o.o; Don't think I've ever seen that in racers before. Forza 4 doesn't have matte. ; ;
Some cars have the option for matte paint, but only if they are factory colors (like on some Lamborghinis). I haven't played with the custom paint jobs, but there's probably something there as well. :)
Actually impressed with what I saw with both the payware and gifted DLC. May just give in and get the tracks so I can race on Spa and that futuristic Go-Kart track. Love GT5.
I'm not so much into the cars (Got 1 Redbull from the event and another from lv35 B spec) but the tracks are a must! Although I'm disappointed that they don't share between accounts cos my house happen to have 2 racing gamers.
