Shooting Figurines using a Compact Camera
Photography and collecting figurines are two of my biggest passion, and of course I also enjoy figurine photography.
Recently, I wrote a short article for the IXUS Style Magazine on Figurine Photography so I thought I would share it with you folks as well.

Do head over if you are interested in picking up some simple and useful tips on how to produce good shots of your favorite figurines. And the best part of it all, I managed to achieve all the shots using just a simple point-and-shoot compact camera.

On a side note, I will be conducting two sessions of figurine photography workshop at the upcoming Anime Festival Asia 2011 - one focusing on shooting with compact cameras and the other with DSLR. I was hoping to gather some feedback on what are some of the things that you would like to learn. Of course, do lend me your support by showing your presence at the workshop. I will share with you the details of the workshop once they are finalised.

What time is your workshop, on which days? :3c
Dunno I'm not sure yet leh
thanks for the tutorial ^^ I only have a compact camera so this will prove useful since most other tutorials are aimed at better cameras :)
You know I've found that collecting figures and dolls has improved my photography a lot just by mere practice! <3
An excellent tutorial to get the best out of your camera!
Ooh good article..
This year I will make sure to attend your workshop really need to learn more ^^;
My first posts here were with a kodak point n shoot. there's nothing wrong with them at all! I'm a firm believer that it's the person behind the button, rather than the equipment. Do try all of the settings and see what happens before you give up!! *you'll be surprised!*
Good shots...
