Mon 2009/10/12 12:50 JST
Actually quite pleased with the result as this is my 1st time weathering might have overdone it a little D:
Who knew oil-pastell could work such wonders! (note: i said crayon in my last post sorry)
Well I'll enter the competition just for kicks

Kit I Want to see an MG of : Zeta II

Cool, not bad. Though I think it's abit overdone. If he could get so battle damaged, he would have lost a leg or two.
well its my 1st time doing weathering sooo.... lol
cool is good enough for me to start with ^^
i starting build my MG exia now!!
Saw a lot of action, no, Exia san? 0_0
Looks as if Exia's been doing mud lands operations for years...
Setsuna must be really lazy in the whole concept of "taking care of your ride, and himself"... Ya the weathering is a bit overdone. It gives it a more rusting feeling. This would be what Exia looked like after First season and before Second Season of 00
Well, ordinary bullets could do that amount of damage to any Mobile Suit that doesn't have a working GuffiN-Drive.
It looks yes. However, the cape is a little underwhelming. You might want to poke some holes in it to give it the shot-at feel everything else has.
thnks for the feedback
Well, the effect is good, but overdone it... it looks like Exia just fell into a mud hole rather than being weathered^^
Exia after dakar rally driving LOL
I really liked effects on the cloak! really nice
Thanks alot
Awesome work! Loving how the cape turned out.
exia WRC limited edition^^,
WRC?
LOL WORLD RALLY COMPETITION?
Overdone...
If Exia is like that then i'm pretty sure it's already in the scrapyard.
guess i really did overdid it D:
Looks like Setsuna has been playing in mud OwO
The holes are nice effect, I guess the mud effect came from the way you applied the weathering. Good job on your first weathering job! Though it makes me cry thinking about how much that kit costs ^_^; Man, Graham did a number on Exia didn't he?
thanks alots
Looks like it survived the GP02A's atomic bazooka... twice...
I agree that it looks overdone, but way better than any weathering I could do, great job!
Lol thnks man i just might re-do it or jsut wash some of the marking away since i hvn't topcoat it ^^
yea think I'll wash away some of the weathering. So stay tuned for more folks. Lol(don't expect much! D:)
To me.. This Exia looked like it was hit by Gundam Wing's guns... burnt to a crisp ^_^
Love the weathering... its very good for a newbie in weathering
It's impressive work even though it's overdone. The cloak is very nice. But the body is a bit too much though.
Haven't done weathering myself but from what I know, when doing weathering, you have to know why is it damaged here (eg, rifle/beam damage? space debris collision?), or how does it get the rust there. You have to figure out the logic places like edges to do weathering instead of just unleashing a "bomb" onto the kit. Hope that helps. ^^
Lol guess i did bomb it :P
actually this should be what the exia look like in s2 episode 1... do u think setsuna has the equipment to clean his gundam? lol...
lol kinda looks like someone dumped oil on it. It still looks pretty cool tho.
Setsuna: it'll take a week to get the grime off my gundam! animator: Sorry Setsuna, just dela with it, this is my choice. Exia: oh god, its in every nook and cranny in my body... SOMEBODY PLEASE CLEAN ME!!
fans: We'd want to pilot you rather than clean you.
It looks like Exia fell into a giant mud puddle and rolled around with it to extinguish the flames and it ruined its coat.
Too muddy. With that level of burns the armour should be blistered and cracked everywhere. It wouldn't really be armour at that level.
I never tried weathering before, but I do think too much mud as well. Exia Repair Kit is also next in my list so I might as well try out weathering.
