Monday Moe Musume - Yandere
Yup... I was just about to cap the Character archetypes series of Monday Moe Musume when it hit me (quite hard actually) that I am missing one of the more, er, controversial if not gratuitously expressive of the character archetypes; The Yandere!!
Now these otherwise colorful characters does call for empathy from anyone who gets to watch or read about them, their history/back story or their often cheerful demeanor if not really congenial behaviour towards everyone in the series.
Now if you'll excuse me while I bathe in Hydrogen peroxide after that lovely reminder from Rin with which I have to cover for today. I shall now leave you with a wiki entry.

Yandere (ヤンデレ?) is a Japanese term for a person who is initially very loving and gentle, then at one point becomes deranged or psychotic, often brutally so. Yandere is a combination of the two words yanderu (病んでる?), meaning to be sick, and deredere (デレデレ?), which is defined as exhausted or lovestruck.[1] Much like the tsundere term, there is also the related noun yanderekko (ヤンデレっ娘?) which refers to a girl with a yandere personality (like how a meganekko is a girl with glasses), the suffix -ko (娘?) meaning "girl" and is the equivalent of "-ette/-elle".
awww... nice boat hat... yes?

To set an example, we should look no further than this archetype's gleaming poster child, School Day's Kotonoha Katsura.
Love kills wouldn't you say.

And if you thought dealing with one homicidal partner was troublesome enough (provided that you're the kind who pretty much taps every single girl in school who comes on to you), try handling an entire class of possible yanderes.

But some of the more common staples you'd see of Yandere's would be Elfen Lied's Lucy.
Here's what TV Tropes has to say about these dangerous ladies.
The word "yandere", a term that blossomed in moe fandom, refers to a character who is crazy about someone else. Literally. Despite the anime-inspired name, this type of character is much, much older than that, as one of the earliest examples is Medea of Greek Myth.
The character almost always appears cute and harmless on the surface... but underneath they are obsessive, controlling, and sometimes just plain insane. Woe to anyone who happens to be the object of their "affection". Even more pity should be saved for anyone who gets in the way, as the psycho-obsessive is amazingly unwilling to put up with any rivals. Some have long histories of mental instability and in some cases have always been a little "off", perhaps the product of Break The Cutie. Often eventually goes off the deep end and becomes an Ax Crazy Girl With Psycho Weapon.

Speaking of staples, Senjougahara-san's relationship with Arararararagi-kun does border on yandere as some of you might remember from Hachikuji Mayoi's arc.

Intriguingly enough, TV Tropes has classified Belldandy, of all people, as a borderline case, and I quote..
Belldandy from Ah My Goddess displays some of these tendencies, although they are quite mild. And they have to be, since her self-control is the reason why she's allowed access to her ENORMOUS powers...
You get into a relationship with someone who does possess celestial powers, yeah, you will eventually find yourself on the receiving end.

As far as the relationship I share with my eldest musume, well.. I don't think you could call yandere.. in fact, the only way to say it would be that she's just simply violent at how she gets what she wants.

So, wouldn't any of you care to share these ladies some love? I'm sure they'll be deathly faithful.

Note- Light killed the criminal who killed her parents.
And Rumia!XD そーなのかー?
But but but Belldandy is a very gentle person D;
I find that hard to believe... Bell as yandere that is...
Well.. not yet.. but she has the makings of one. Eternally cheerful and clueless with nigh limitless celestial powers.
she'll just revived you again & again if you get killed by her anyway
@Yamada
BellDandy is a very gentle Person but she has title of Jealous Goddess.
i have a question.. would one consider Asakura Ryoko from Haruhi a semi-yandere...? O_o Ohhh Rin.....
As far as her role goes, I guess you might say that, though personally, I don't think so as it is mostly part of her "sub-routines" considering she's only Integrated Data Entity like Yuki.
As for Lucy/Nyu/Kaede(?), I was thinking she was more of a Swing Role character in the anime at least.
She was like a brutal diclonius in the begining then became a caring character when Kouta was around..
she even showed a bit of caring tendencies for Nana whom she amputated initially. I dunno ~ )_(
Although i'm still wondering how or why Kaede became a Yandere in the anime.. (and a rather inconsistent one..)
I haven't seen a game CG floating around proving Kaede's a yandere in the Shuffle! game..
Belldandy, yah a borderline one.. but since she's someone who rarely shows anger backed by with an enormous power and unlimited goddess license.. she's a potential Yandere~ :)
not kaede, maria from umineko
hard to believe maria being yandere. maybe shannon & ange from umineko are potential yanderes
Would NiceBoat-tan kill me if I don't give her a smochi? 0.o
Ahh..nice boat kotonoha-chan...wait, belldandy ~|||~ i know she's a bit yandere right?
Hence she appears in the list. ^_^ but only a bit.
love the first picture
love the last picture
Hoho~ Belldandy? I can see her becoming yandere if things didn't go her way... even though she's portrayed as being the perfect nadeshiko, her love(obsession) for Keichi (whatever his name is) could easily stray to yandere proportions.
This was a very nice compilation, I thought about mentioning Rena from Higurashi but she's not in love, just gets very pissed when someone provokes her.
