1/100 MG Exia WIP 1

Posted by Springs [www]

Since I'm so lazy, I haven't got much done in the 3 weeks that I got this kit xD Still in priming stages, trying to decide on a new color scheme too.

just asking, primer didn't really have to covered everything?
and you are going to use what type of paint?

Yeah I find that its not necessary to cover everything with a 100% thick coat of primer, since in the end the effects come out exactly the same (primer is mostly used for smooth surface and helping paint stick anyway).

And I'm going to be using mostly spray paints for this, and maybe pastels for weathering/shading afterwards.

Your paint looks so clean, even in early stages! I was going to suggest doing the colors in traditional RX-78-2 colors, since I've always wanted to see how he'd look that way.

I was actually thinking of that color scheme too xD (except with all the "armor" parts being gloss, while internal frame and stuff in a flat tone).
