Mim's Keumaya Final Hyper Nurse Victory

Posted by Mim

A fellow Figure.Fm poster introduced the regular version of this figure, which had a really nice green theme to it, which I soon started to really like the look of.

Soon after I found out she was up on E-Bay and that with further research there were a number of characters in the series and finally I found the holy grail. I spotted the Victory version for the same figure and woo boy did the pics blow me away.

She's a great addition to any Mecha Musume collection for fans that like mature content >.>

I hope you enjoy the pics :D

The neat and simple little box arived for me from the E-bay seller.

Looks kinda official with its own sticker denoting the version inside.

She came with a pretty amasing amount of packaging.

There were instructions, though they were a little hard to follow and not due to the Nihon-go it was in.

Everything is in its own sealed and neat little bag. As canbe seen it's all pre-painted so you really just have to clip it all together like a lego set.

The deal clencher. Their squshy and soft!

She does come with a nice brace to help support her but seems to cope without it so soon left it out.

Not overly visible but ther head, arms, wrists and her hand cuffs all rotate. All her head gear moves also including the twin visors and ear like robot apendages.

There was a problem with slotting in her right arm. I think I need to trim about 1mm off the peg as it seemed a touch too long to slot in.

I had a few extra bits at the end of the build that I soon found homes for on the figure.

The only drag was a small defect with one of her rabbit ears not having a peg to mount it on her headband. It didn't look like it had snapped off, but rather hadn't fully molded during production.

I'll just use a little blob of bluetac to hold it in place (once I find some).

I'm a huge fan of busy figures. Theres so much detail its pretty amasing.

This one was my money shot. I'm really pleased with the quality of the camera in the 4G iPhone. The 4GS one would be pretty mind blowing.

I'm kinda tempted to get the others in the set after the really impressive look of this one, which I honestly could not recommend enough.

I nabbed a few of the official pics the E-Bay seller was using.

Awesome figure. You should super glue the other ear as she looks awesome in bunny mode.

Being a huge bubby fan, that actually makes a lot of sense as I don't think I'll leave them in any other position anyway.

This gap would annoy me. Is there no way to push the two parts closer together?

Hmm good question. Possibly with a little more force and a slight twist, but as the joint is meeting up with a black costume part I don't really notice it unless I look directly at that spot for a while.

Given the price of only $40usd I figure I'll cut the small quality issues some slack. More annoying was seeing the mold line around her oppai in the pic's, but truth be told its really hard to notice under regular daylight. I think it was a combo of strong light source, shadow and camera angle.

Really love that PVC. She's a pretty stand out star among the regular ecchi PVC's that rarely push that envelope quite as hard.

You mean to say that the pictures are taken with an iPhone 4? Wow! I've one and it never take pictures as good as yours, any particular apps or iOS which can remedy this?

Also, great post and squishy oppai seems like a really cool feature on a figure.

Its a little hobby of mine being to bring out the best in a camera phone. Reminds me of a saying that the best camera in the world is the one you have with you at that moment in time.

It helps that the quality of the camera in iPhones is actually pretty decent. My trick is the age old one of making sure you have as much light available as possible so I tend to take most of my shots during the day time hours and in addition I also turn on all the room lights just to help a little.

You also need to try and brace your self in some way to avoid shaking the phone, which to some degree has been fixed with the ios5 update that introduced the ability to use the + volume control button to take pic's with.

The single best trick I've learned is to alway's tap the auto focus region on the screen so if I'm taking a pic of a figure I'll genrally tap the face to focus on. The ios software then does some form of a calibration with brightness and colour balance the moment you touch a focal point.

All the shots I take lately are with the 4G iPhone and are not touched up in any way using any programs.

I'm thinking of taking it up to the next level where you start making photo booth style lighting, wich is actually quite cheap. You simply need a desk lamp, a small cardboard box, roughly the size of the desk lamps head, some tracing or cooking paper (something thin) and sticky tape. the idea is to make a box around the head of the lamp so all the light shines through the paper wrapped round the front of the box / lamp. This focuses the light and more importantly diffuses the light similar to how sunlight works.

You genrally use two, one from the side of the object of the photo and one from above, which helps bring out more of the figure's surfaces and would allow an even more detailed shot.
