Danny's Neighbourhood :3 (Musashikoyama Palm)
Today was a really REALLY rainy day.. ^^;;..
I decided to go to the longest indoor shopping mall in Tokyo, which is also the local shopping mall of Danny Choo ^^
Lovely shopping mall! Many traditional stores, game centers and restaurants!

This store has so many cute things to decorate your house!! (*^o^*)

Sooooo pretty!! (*^O^*)

Almost Christmas... :)

Is this where Danny buys his underwear..? :p

This coffee shop was really relaxing and they had great sandwiches! ^^

Tastiest brown bread I EVER had in Japan ^^;;;;;;

Chococro has a special Christmas edition croissant now!! ^O^

Great looking shot, Saskia! :o
Thank you!!! *^__^*
Looks like its sticking its tongue out.
lolololol it's his nose XD
"Mole" pants?
Heh ^^;;;...
Gotta try this shop, looks great!
It was! Really relaxing atmosphere and the menu is great :3
I love the different coffee shops in Japan and miss them. Only Starbucks here so variety is extremely limited compared to Tokyo.
Where's the beef?
It's salmon XD
Salmon is ecologically damaging too, but at least it's not the forced sord of damaging that comes from trying to force soyabeans into our mouths via cow.
Odd fact: a long time ago, the benefits of salmon in one's diet were poorly documented enough that in many company cafeterias, ordering salmon was a cheap and dirty way to get a full belly at lunchtime. A lunch of salmon was considered poor salaryman's food.
These days, you can't get much salmon for US$1 anymore.
Love this place. I had the choco-ichigo pastry last April and it was so good. What's the Xmas flavor?
Whoa O_O Sounds good! I had the custard flavor one a few months ago :3 Haven't tried the Xmas version yet :) (but it's white chocolate).
Baskin Robbins' is sadly more of a relaxed franchise, so the flavor and quality may vary slightly between licensees.
The one I had recently at Clementi Mall in Singapore was clearly cheaping on the vanilla (using artificial extract rather than real pos) . Never a good sign
That sounds good as well. The white choco is something you gotta try and report back. I wish I had known the choco-ichigo one was only for a limited time or I would have eaten more of them.
Gotta put this on the "To Do" list for my next trip. How do you get to this mall Sas-chan?
Take the yamanote-sen to Meguro switch to Tokyu Meguro Line and get off at "Musashikoyama Station" :3
IIt's only 3 minutes from Meguro to Musashikoyama Station :)
Thanks for the info. I'll check it out next trip.
Used to have this brand here in my neck of wood but sadly they closed down ~ would love to try their ice cream again ^o^
It's really delicious huh?^o^ We don't have one in The Netherlands T__T..
Is it wrong that I imagined this cream cone to be attached to the right-most snowman?
lolololol XD...yep..wrong :P...
I always felt if it was a man, it was entitled to an erection at least once in his life. This one time I had a spare carrot in the winter in Michigan...
There are pictures of Japanese shopping malls that are dying or practically dead - I'm glad to see this isn't one of those zombie malls.
O_O;; never seen a "zombie mall" ^^;;
Trust me, when you see it, you'll know a Japanese town is clearly gentrifying and slowly fading away - shutters on everything at unnaturally early times, almost no people except for loiterers. This happens a bit more with very old towns where the kids have all run off to the cities and left the oldbies to live the rest of their lives quietly.
I had the unfortunate experience of going through one of them once five years ago - it was very awkward and morale-sapping... and it got worse when I found a sign dating back to 1982 welcoming 'the Singapore Delegation'. :( How do you fall from such grace? very, very, hard. :(
These streetlights are simply inspirational - why does a street lamp necessarily have to be two or three pieces of steel and a ultra-long-life lightbulb, I ask you!
I clearly have watched waaay too much Mawaru Penguindrum - I half expected these folks to be 'safety outline people'
Ooh I love Salmon :P
Gotta get some canned Salmon for dinner :D
Really nice neighbor :)
looks like fun!
Ahhh we were there the exact same evening LOL!!! doh XD
lolololol maybe we should add each other on twitter so we never miss each other again XD XD
lol you know what, I think I have you on twitter, but currently my twitter is kinda F--ked up at the moment, it shows that I wasn't following my husband and my time keep showing it's 20 hours ago... ugh
thanks for the pics! looks really long and many interesting shops.
Are you just in Japan for vacation?
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed them!
I'm studying Japanese right now. Will leave soon though T___T
