Posing for the first time

Posted by BM2LoveAngel [www]

As promised, today I took some better photos of Yukino.

Please have in mind that it was the first time for the model and for the photographer (with a dollfie). We both know we have a lot to learn and we are working hard to improve every time.

More on my blog.

Posing for the first time

I am in love with Yukino since last year. I knew that with this second version I had to stop postponing getting a Dollfie Dream. One thing I did not know is how beautiful she is in person. Her eyes are so sweet....

My next to do is really getting her hair to nicer. It is a work in progress.

I loved this outfit when I first saw it. I am glad I was not too late when Stepswalker was selling it.

That outfit looks really great on her. :D I still have a hard time with making my dolls wigs look nicer. Every time she's sitting on my shelf and I don't want to take pics, her wig looks great. When I start trying to pose her, her wig looks bad. -_- However, I think your Yukino's wig looks just fine. Her bangs are kind of long when you put them down straight, but brushed to the side I think it's really cute.

My -limited- experience with wigs is that they need a few days/weeks of styling, setting and getting used to before they're really easy to capture on photo.

Can you imagine that I don't have the makings to make a brush on own hair? :-P

Do you use anything special for the styling? And how do you take care of the wig?

The tool that works best for me to brush the hair is a plain soft or medium toothbrush. (Grabbed of basic Aquafresh brand medium toothbrush at the supermarket for a few € and it's been doing the job fine.)

As for hair care products, my experience is limited to the Volks products but they work perfect. Volks Wig Oil to treat/brush the wigs every 2 weeks, this helps them stay dust free, keep a nice shine and helps styling. Also use Volks Water Wax when I need something more potent for styling.

Considering the cost of those three items, the biggest cost will be shipping for the Volks products.

Thanks for your advice. :D I probably need to invest in some wig care items... >_< I don't have any. Lol.

As it is the only wig I have so far, I am really concerned about not damaging the hair with crazy hairstyles or destroying the curls (that I will not be able to make again).

To make things worse, me with my "delicate" BJJ hands, broke Yukino's barrette when trying to put it on her hair. >_<*

That's how I felt about my first wig as well. Maybe someone who has better experience with wig styling can help you (and me too, lol) out with that. :D

That outfit looks fab on her! Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it all (DD care, photo) with time and experience. ^^
