Vocaloid Lily hair repair
I seem to be a magnet for defective goods of late.
For such an "old" product, i managed to (LUCKY!) find a last box of Lily from anim.o.v.e at a store. Only after getting her out at home, did i manage to get a closer inspection, and was horrified to observe the damage done to her hair.
I'm not an expert in scale kit or figurine modelling; what's a good way to patch that up, if possible?
UPDATE 30 Nov 11
I emailed Good Smile regarding the condition, and they sent all the way to my home the spare parts!
"Spare parts"? That's a complete kage bunshin!
kudos Good Smile.

Good Smile humanitarian aid package.

hello... what is this...?

That's the "spare part".

Gone back to the hairdresser for her hair fix.

Repaired and ready to rock!

You should really get a refund. I smell something fishy. Something like that wouldn't get passed for quality consistency in phat's book.
agreed, the quality of this product reeks of bootleg >.>
I wouldn't say it's bootleg because everything else is fine and high quality. bootleg tends to fail at _many_many_ places.
The hair looks bootleg imo, i don't think the hair should be painted on, should be like miku append figma's hair or C.C special edition hair. And the colour doesn't seem to be right.
But the face and skin looks legit.
You make an excellent point; from the official images I'm checking out at her entry on My Figure Collection (http://myfigurecollection.net/item/41623_vocaloid_lily_1_8_phat_company) her hair looks to be semi-transparent near the tips, similar to the Miku Append figure and figma. I'm fairly certain you were swindled =/
The hair is translucent.
You cannot see details on the ends of her hair because i set the depth of field to only focus on her front face.
Edit in a few more pictures.

You can see Tentacle armada's copy, looks exactly like mine, except the hair damage.
It might not be a bootleg, but how do you find them bootlegs?
its really hard to find them when youre looking for them.
Anyone know bootleg stores?
bootlegs are really fun to tear apart and work on.
I've got one at my other residence(I'm in the middle of a reno/move), but I've never noticed anything like that on mine... Next time I've over there, I'll take a look...
If you never noticed it then your copy should be fine. This should be a rare occurence unless the factory mould got blasted.
UPDATE
so i emailed Good Smile about the matter, and they sent me spare parts which turned out to be a whole replacement figure! I guess there's no way she can be taken apart easily.
