MG 1/100 MSN-06E "Ebon Enforcer" Black Sinanju

Posted by Busterbeam [www]

My submission for the Bandai World Gundam Competition!

Made this some time ago but I'm posting this along with the other members of the GAF SGB (Gundam Australia Forums Sinanju Group Build)

MSN-06Y "Yellowbird / Canary of Death" by Gaijin Gunpla
MSN-06T "Twilight Terror" by An American Salary Man in Tokyo
MSN-06B "Blue Berserker" by Lupes, I now present;
MSN-06E "Ebon Enforcer" by me. Which preceded all of them. *just had to throw that out there! haha*

Full WiP can be seen here.

Story: Model # MSN-06E, officially known as the “Black Sinanju” but commonly known as the “Ebon Enforcer”. Nicknamed the “Double E Anti Gundam” by Neo Zeon soldiers, it is a play (or mockery if you prefer) on the ZZ Gundam which, Newtype ace, Judau Ashta piloted to infamy.

This prototype Sinanju was made primarily for the continuation of research on “Newtype Psycommu Technology”. Militarily, it serves as a defensive escort for ships transporting people of extreme importance. It does not see much combat because of the already heighted security around such ships.

The gold plating is an experimental hybrid liquid-polymer enhancement/upgrade of the full psycho frame employed in the MSN-06S Sinanju and the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam. This plating enables the pilot to operate the suit with increased mental 'awareness' of the battlefield.

Preliminary experiments done with non-Newtype subjects resulted in various trauma ranging from mild headaches to death.Newtype pilots fared better but often described the experience as 'overwhelming'. Extensive mental conditioning and training is required to fully utilize the system. Inside the suit the pilot can feel hostiles at extreme ranges and can neutralize them before they ever become a threat to the ship being defended.

The PsyCo-RPX (Psychic Communication Receptor Polymer - Experimental) is applied in a way similar to a proton exchange/electrolyte membrane except with embedded microscopic PCR’s and without the incorporation a membrane electrode assembly. This process is time consuming and expensive making this suit entirely unfit for mass production.

Because of the random phenomena occasionally caused by psycommu systems used in especially heated battle situations, this Sinanju never sees any frontline combat.

I used Tamiya metallic black, gold, gunmetal and light gunmetal spray cans along with black and gold Gundam markers. A bit of Testors silver enamel here and there.

Currently living in Nagoya, Japan. Been doing gunpura for almost 15 years but only started to use paint/markers less than 2 years ago.

I want to see Bandai make MG Savior and Heavy Arms Custom!

Anyone who has built this model knows that the forearm/shield attachment is weak at best and downright useless at it's worst. I changed that by integrating the shield attachment and forearm armour together into one piece for more stability. Sanded, sculpted, cemeted, puttied, sanded again.

This is what it looks like now. So far it's been pretty secure. I see a crackline in the paint now when I play with it but I don't think it's going to break anytime soon. Easily the best mod I've done for this kit. Not only that but I can put the shield on either arm now just by removing this piece.

The Sinanju that started the craze...and it still looks so damn nice in black and gold, loving the gold frame as well.

Those colours really work well together! You would think the Sinanju was meant to be Black and Gold!

Ah the Ebon Enforcer. The meticulous WIP and colour scheme that sparked my passion for this MS. The way you have used the gold on the internals is just brilliant. The shield mount and the painting of certain insides (particularly the skirt armour) make this a resounding win for me.

    SGBP for top 4 places!

Give out more impact with the photos, try put a photo that only half the kit have armour on, and the other half no armour on displaying the details inside. A half-naked model kit, hahaha.

Wouldn't it be his right arm and shoulder upgrades? Lovin' the bazooka.
