figma Reimu Hakurei Preview - UPDATED

Posted on figma and Mikatan's blogs, set for a January 2010 release date is the figma for Reimu Hakurei from Touhou Project! Images are from the figma blog ^_^
It looks like she will sadly be an exclusive like the other Touhou figures, and would need to be pre-ordered at Animate, Gamers, Tora no Ana, and NicoNico Chokuhan. For those of you wanting this figma (myself included) good luck to you! Y_Y

I believe this would be Reimu's first appearance as a figma. You might be refering o Lucky Star's Tsukasa.

it seems like Max factory doesn't like me having money....her accessories are enough for me to want it, then there's that face again.
That's exactly what I was thinking xD I wonder if her faces will be compatible with any of the other figma releases ^^;

Anyways, I'm really glad that we are getting some Touhou merchandise even though Reimu is not one of my favorite characters. Can't wait for a figure of Aya or Yomu.
Also happy that there will be a figma version released as I always prefer a more accurate representation of a character as opposed to the cute-chibi nendoroid form. So will get the Figma instead and that would also save me some cash.
I've never played Touhou before (doubt if I will, bullet hell games scare the crap outta me o.O) but I'll definitely get this figma when she comes out because I love her accessories xD It'll be great to equip Haruhi with the bottle of booze and the drinking platter, and I'm hoping the drunken face too! Σd(>口<)
Actar. To begin with....there is no real accurate representation of a character from Touhou unless you are willing to translate ZUN's style ounce for ounce. In the end what comes out are all mere interpretations of the subject.
The drunken face is priceless, and makes it quite an interesting figure.

Nice! I was worried that the bow was placed too high on Figma Reimu's head but, as these photos show, this is based on what angle her head is at.
I've got so many Reimu figures now, including doubles of two of them. One mores not going to hurt. Besides, that drunk Reimu is priceless. ^^
I love how they made her clothes all flow-y like that, it makes good for action poses on the bookshelf!
On the other hand, sleeves look rather funky for the holding teacup pose; it's always windy.
Must give the designer for finding the middle ground, however, for scenarios. It's a fair tradeoff.

I don't even know much about Touhou, but the figma of this girl is just so cute. Didn't care for the nendo, but this is SO sweet.
She's so cute that I'm half-tempted to get her even though I'm not really familiar with Touhou. I rarely buy figures on character design alone, but I might just do so for this one.
When I first saw her figma version, I wasn't sure if I wanted her, but the more I look at these pictures, the more I'm tempted to get her. That said, I'm hoping for maybe a Cirno nendo or figma to be made one day :S

Seriously whats with the sudden glut of high-profile Touhou merch? Did Zun finally break down or did they bribe him with beer or what...
ZUN's only rule with derivative Touhou merchandise is not to release it through mainstream commercial channels. So, small-time distribution in smaller places is okay with him, like in small quantities at C76, WonFes, etc.
I'm so happy that Reimu figma is not a limited edition item like the nendo. As soon as preorders open she is so coming home with loli Nanoha.

Never really played Touhou(Heck, I think I even spelled that wrong! :0) but after building a Reimu papercraft, I really liked her design. But now that I see this, I'm quite depressed. Fortunately, I've already got my hands on her Nendoroid(Muhahahaha, thanks you Ebay!)
