Holiday Binge
No new blog post this week, but I hope you got the chance to check out my two updates over this past Thanksgiving Weekend highlighting some awesome Black Friday deals at several on-line retailers! If not, hop on over to my blog and Follow so you'll be instantly alerted to new posts!
I tend to overdo it this time of year, but with all the great deals, who can blame me? xD It's a bit dangerous though, since it's so close to Christmas and I need to make sure all my holiday shopping for my family and friends is done, and that I've given to my favorite charities!
Anyway, one of my orders has already shipped, and others will be on their way soon! It's been a long time since I did any reviews, but I plan to post some up for these vendors and the figures I get as soon as I'm able to, so check back soon!

I wanted the whole set of Haruhi bunnies but Ryouko is so expensive now and I missed the boat on Haruhi. OTL Besides Nagato and Tsuruya, I also have Mikuru and Emiri. I would've gotten Kyon's Sister to complete the set, but since I doubt I'll be able to get the other two, I may just sell off Mikuru and Emiri at some point.

I ended up using http://shoppingmalljapan.com/ to get all my bunnies. You just need to be patient as I found all of mine at around the 3000y to 5000y mark. Obviously the proxy fees will blow that out a little, but you are pretty close to completing the set. Just try sellecting yahoo, catagory of toy and search for Freeing.
I've decided to collect all the Freeing 1/4 releases that have stockings, either fixed or pull on's, so have all the Haruhi Bunnies, the recent K'On and both of the Freezing releases. Wow, that's really cheap! Was it a while ago? I remember looking at JYA for Ryouko and her auctions just kept closing higher and higher.. I'll have to look into that site and figure out how it works, b/c spending 20k+ on her is a bit out of my reach.
And that Kanu... :O All those bunnies will certainly be an epic collection!
I decided to get the Bunnies earlier in the year so collected them over around 4mths. Only three of them were brand new though being the pink, purple and yellow ones. The blue one ended up coming from Mandarake and was the most expensive, but then I think she was the rarest one or simply the most popular one.
I think Freeing are onto a winner. Just think of all the amasing characters they could Bunnify. I get a nose bleed just imagining Eris from Asobi ni Ikuyo.
Man, I'm really going to have to look at SMJ now, lol. Did you search through all the stores on there, or just through auction sites? There's so many options and dropdown boxes that it's kind of confusing. ^^; And yeah, the blue one is the hardest to find, mainly b/c they only did one wave of her and she's apparently the sexiest one, lol.
Man, I'm kind of scared to imagine what would happen if they started doing some of my favorites shows. Thankfully they don't seem to be handling any Gainax series. xD;;
I only use them for Yahoo Japan purchases. Many of the other stores you can buy directly from like Mandarake so saveyour self some money and don't pay them a commision for being lazy >.>
Their service is a bit expensive, but I suppose thats true of any proxy. Its really best for those rare and hard to find figs you've been dying to find and especially for completing sets.
Ah, I see! I've used FromJapan and Noppin for YJAuctions before. They're not too bad, but they make me buy more stuff b/c I always want to combine shipping. xD;;
Some of those other stores that SMJ shows are interesting, but I wonder if they're pulling old stock results b/c I'm getting hits at places like Amiami, lol.

Do you mean Dita from Vandread? She's not actually a kit, she's a cold cast model. And I actually got everything in that picture for one lump sum so it's hard to say how much I got her for. I actually just wanted the Love Hina figs but I wound up not liking Love Hina all that much. ^^; Will sell most of those figs off soon, so lmk if you're interested!

Yeah, they were all from an old, local store that closed so most of the figures were cold cast/resin. I will definitely put you at the top of the list of folks to contact when I get together a sales post. It prolly won't be until after the holidays, though!

They're really nice and surprisingly heavy! Sadly I didn't like Akira much, but that just means one of my friends is going to be very happy come birthday time. ;)
When you say the Akira one do you mean Kaneda?
Actually, I meant that I didn't like the movie all that much. The figures are really nicely done, but I have no attachment to the characters. :/
Awesome bikini Rider as well as some more Fate ladies!
Yus, not having watched any of the Fate series, Rider is my favorite due to her character design. And she towers over all the other girls! It's like she's a completely different scale, lol. xD
I have watched the series and Rider is awesome. I have the Rider Maid which is one of my fave figures.
Aw, yeah, Maid Rider is awesome! I sold her and the other two maids though... kind of wish I'd kept her. ;_;
She is the best one of the three and her cute glasses really make her special.
i keep telling myself i'm not really into meganekko, but rider with glasses = hnnnnng! i have gathering's rider on bike and i made sure to put them on xD

To be fair, these pictures were taken a couple of years apart, and while the first picture was just one single buy, the second was an entire month's worth of purchases. I know some users on here get some crazy monthly loots, so this is prolly nothing to them, lol.
Man that is a huge binge ....the most I did was 13 nendos in one month ... Congrats on all the loot
