Sadly Figma's can break due to stiff joints. Happened on one of our figma's. :(
A body joint break is about the worst kind of break, because it's irreplaceable. There are no replacement joints you can salvage from other figmas, and usually when GSC gets a notification of something like this happening, they usually have to send the entire torso, or replace the entire figma altogether.
Also, considering you purchased this through eBay, it's unlikely that GSC can help you, since they can't prove the authenticity of the item. It's very likely that you received a counterfeit figma, as those tend to pop up frequently on eBay, especially for high profile figures. In the future, I would recommend purchasing from either a Japanese retailer with an english website (like Hobby Search, Hobby Link Japan or J-List) or through english websites that order through AAA Distribution. It costs extra in the long run (whether it's shipping or the bad dollar-to-yen ratio) but worth it in the end as you are certain to receive a genuine product, and if you have any problems, you can contact the seller and coordinate a solution.
I just want to say that I disagree with this. I bought rider from a respectable company, and she arrived to me with her hair broken. I contacted the seller for help since I didn't know how to get in contact with gsc. They basically turned round and said there was nothing they could do because the figure was so cheap it wasn't worth replacing. And that if I wanted to fix it, I'd have to try glueing the joint.
I ended up selling her on to a friend because I was so annoyed with the experience I just couldn't enjoy her anymore, since there wasn't a way to glue the hair without stopping it from moving like it was meant to, and it would have killed all the new features they'd put in so she could do classic positions.
Some companies might be more helpful, but I certainly wouldn't expect them all to be.
Ty for pointing out hobby link japan. I found a third party ball joint for sale by them and I found a link on how to get the ball joint out and the snapped part out with minimal damage after i looked up the third party joint
I bought her second hand from someone not a store but she is the real thing i have the original box. I own many other figma so I am 99% sure she is real. It is a common joint to be found broken on this figma that's why parts are offered on Japan Amazon but i cant read Japanese plus I don't think they will ship it state side if i could read it. What i was looking for was some office dealers that have English sites i could buy these parts from.
