I Need Help!
Hi everyone! This is my first post on figure.fm!
After many months of saving and working, I finally earned enough money to buy the stuff to paint a dollfie dream!
But, I found I am not such an amazing dollfie artist...
Here is the damage done:

face after painting

So anyway you are probably wondering why I am posting this...
I am looking for a replacement head for my dollfie!!!
I tried yahoo japan, but I can't read japanese!
So I was wondering If you guys know any site where I can purchase a custom head.
OR, I ask for a commission from one of you!! (chun, I love Mirin!)
I want to see your previous work..
I can't post my email (mom...) so if you give me yours I will contact you!

I would offer my services, but I'm still a beginner (look in my profile for my girls).
Oh yes, it might take a while, but you can use thinner to try to clean up the current face-up.
Thank you for your comment Shintocowboy! I would try to remove the face-up on her; but I don't think I can do any better than I arlready did. By the way, your girls are beautiful!
Hi there I saw your comment on my blog, I am still rather new with Dollfie dream myself so I am not taking commission work for painting faces just yet. I couldn't bring myself to paint other people's dolls with a risk of possibly ruining them when I do not have enough experience myself -- up to now, only painted 2 dollfie dream heads :P So I am afraid you may have to look elsewhere. As for Yahoo Japan auctions, if you look at the links on rinkya they have a button which translate the pages for you-- might help with head hunt?
good luck!
I couldn't do face-ups...I have no skill when it comes to drawing or painting. That being said, your first attempt isn't that bad.
If you want to keep trying your hand it, probably be a good idea to remove the face-up while you look for a custom head.
Guess my point is to keep at it.
Thank you chun and ultimaknight for your comments! Chun thanks for the link it works well! And thanks ultimaknight for the encouragement. I am so glad that people on this site care enough to help me!! Thx again!!
Are you on Den of Angels, by any chance? If you aren't, you might want to consider going there. While it's largely a resin community, there are multiple artists that take face-up commissions on that particular forum.
I wish I had more doll painting experience. All I've really done is a 1/6 doll for my mom (who still needs elf ears and clothes -_-) and some custom MLPs; that's not enough for me to feel right doing someone else's, especially not for money. But oh, if it were my own blank head to try, would it be another story. . .
Thank you Poofiemus for your suggestion! No, I am not a member on Den of angels, but I will sign up! Hope I can find a solution soon!
I like the face up. Its pretty.
I don't know if you've found a solution but I just was browsing deviant art and found a girl that does face-ups.

She has mostly male dolls, but they look really good! And she has spots available for commission.
If anything you could probably browse deviant art and see if there are any other artist open for face-up commissions.
By the way I thin your doll is cute!
Thx for the comments sammizu0 and M_frag! I am glad someone thinks my dollies face-up is cute! And special thanks to M_frag for the site I think I will contact the artist! But I still would like to recieve suggestions from all of you!!
I think you should still try to remove the face up, if you remove it you don't need to buy a brand new head, it'll save you money in the long run, even if you just use this head as your practice head. If you join Den of Angels there are a number of excellent face up artists for commission there :)
I think the eyelashes are cute, the shape is right, you just don't need that much colour. I do face ups (for my own dolls only) and I find that starting off with a very sharp watercolour pencil helps. If you mark out exactly the shape you want for your Dollfie's eyebrows and where you want them to be, you can use this guide when you apply paint or darker pencil. Less is definitely more when it comes to these paints, you need a very thin brush and watered down acrylic paint. If you want dark colour, start off with light strokes and gradually build up colour. You're on the right track, but practice makes perfect :)
Did this individual ever get help? How would I contact you in regards to your dollfie? I see many good suggestions here.
Am new here as well.
I am revamping a 1/7 scale pvc model of Kanu Unchou, with great success and would like to help you!
