MG Sinanju MSN-06W 'Lily' Progress Pt.1
Hey chaps, i've decided to spruce up the colour a bit on my newly aquired Sinanju. A quick note, even though mine also has a code name I am NOT part of the GAF-SGB this is just something i've decided to do.
The model will probably be mostly completed tommorrow due to restrictions in carrying spray cans onto an aeroplane ^^; So i'll have to use my resources ASAP. Anywhere Here is what i've done so far.
The colour scheme you can probably guess from the name 'Lily' similar to Saber Lily.
Here's the head unit with wires sticking out from the back ^^
The colours were all first sprayed with Mr Surfacer 500, then Tamiya white was sprayed over it. The panel lining is done with a fine brown Gundam marker.
Here's the head again with the LED lit up. Connected the LED to a CR1220. Nice blue glow.
This image is a little blurry but it shows how the wires have been put through the head.
This is the torso, the originally black parts were given a run down with Tamiya SIlver Leaf spray.
This is the torso with the head, i've yet to figure out where to put the battery pack.
The eye glow reminds me more of Unicorn... ^^;
I'm thinking of using a turquoise LED instead (If I can find that colour1) to better fit Saber's eyes.

Well, I wanted to do a unique colour scheme for the Sinanju and looked towards the loot I had recieved when I was in Japan. One of those happened to be the 1/7 GSC Lily Saber ^^
You won't be disappointed!
I thought the wires were modification for hair ^_^
I also thought they were hair extensions. XD

The backpack have a lot of free space to put a battery. Unless you found a very small battery, try put it in the head, or the torso beneath the neck. If you don't want to keep the pilot area, toss out that part and put the battery in there. Hardly anyone pose the pilot area, its not really visible after all.
I think i'll just slap it onto the back. The CR1220 is about 1cm diameter so it isn't that small and I attached a switch to it aswell.
I think putting it in the pilot area is a good idea but it would be too much of a hassle of modify it.
well, you have to open it all back. Take out the sphere and cut it off, but, of course, you have to route the wiring after that.

wish I was able to do LED mods..more power to you, can't wait to see the final product.

no worries :D, just to share my idea:
-the finished skirt(lily type skirt, figure that out :D)
-caliburn (not excalibur, mind you, caliburn is MUCH more decorated)
-avalon sinanju shield, avalon is excalibur shield, but caliburn sheath is to flashy IMO
-ribbon on its head, because she use ponytail, a butterfly type ribbon is needed (kneaded like butterfly)
-sinanju tube to act as EXcaliburn system, to use "excalibur" as its "magic projectile", make some sort of boost ventilation, & cable to connect to caliburn grip, the purpose for those tube is to charge "magic" for long ranged attack
-remove those "gas belt" they make sinanju MUCH fatter, see after you remove it, sinanju is much thinner after it
-add avalon decal on torso plates (lambda like marking, reverse it up & down)
-add some sort of armor to its arm, sinanju arm CAN'T hold long gripped weapon, u can see the flaws when you try to use sinanju rifle
Thanks for those ideas, i'll be sure to incorporate as many of those as I can.
Some which I see viable is the lily skirt, just have to cut up and soften some plasticard.
Sword can also be made from plasticard, but I think that Caliburn would be much harder than excalibur zzz.
The shield for Avalon, this idea i'll be using definately. I'll have to work out a stencil to put the blue patterning on it. Also i'll most likely engrave the symbols onto the shield aswell, because i've already filed away the Zeon symbol ^^.
Ribbon would be difficult to make, but i'll probably just buy some cloth for it and make more "hair".
I'll probably end up also taking the Zeon symbol off the chest so I can slap on a fleur de le or something.
Finallly armour conversion, i'll probably add the plated chaps onto the side flaps of the Sinanju, but modify them because currently they stick out ALOT. The hand to forearm will also get converted into plates with use of plasticard. ^^
Although this is all planned, I don't know how long it will actually take though. Hopefully not too long if I can get all the materials.
