5th SFG "Ghost Recon"
Originally meant to be a Ghost Recon Operator kitbash, I decided to exercise a lot more ‘artistic license’ by reimagining the Ghost as a far less classified special forces group, with more conventional, and less futuristic equipment. This is the first time that I'm using a DSLR camera for my figures (a Nikon D40X), so forgive my virgin handling of the camera.
More pictures and parts list here. Another link with similar pictures on the OSW forums. I'm also proud that this kitbash of mine was featured on Ghost Recon.net.

“Engaging!”

Although not visible from the outside, this operator is currently wearing the Army Combat Shirt (ACS). The ACS features breathable fabric and protection against burn injuries, a crucial feature due to increasing fatalities caused by IEDs.

The IOTV, or Improved Outer Tactical Vest, is a successor to the previous Interceptor Body Armor. It features better protection via increased coverage on vital areas. Airflow is also improved through the use of mesh inner cover. As with today’s body armor, the IOTV is capable of stopping 7.62 x 39mm fired from an AK-47 with ceramic plate inserts on the front and back.

The FN SCAR assault rifle carried by the operator is equipped with a sound suppressor and a FN40 Grenade Launcher.
NOTE: Sadly, the sound suppressor broke a few days after the photography session.

“Moving in.”

“Understood.”

“Weapons free, roger!”

The M1911 MARSOC is a revised version of the venerable M1911A1. It’s commonly used by various branches of the Marine Corps and other US special forces.

Nice.. DigiPat version 1 or 2? And nice SCAR with the GL. And so true about the ACS.. also works well for an everyday shirt..
Not too sure which version. I do wish they make the ACS in black.
Awesome detail on the SCAR, is this a 1/6 scale? MARSOC looks true to my Colt Combat Elite Model 4 Series 80.... Beats Woodland BDU's and an M203 any day....
Yep, it's 1/6. I still think Woodland and Three-Colour Desert are the best. ACU is like asking the US Army to become space marines. Now, why didn't they choose Multicam? Hmm...
