Nendoroid Ikaros Problems

Posted by LimMzy

Yay!! I finally got my Nendoroid Ikaros from Hobby Search! As I left my house for work this morning, there was a surprise on top of my shoes..it was Nendoroid Ikaros! After waiting about a month I finally got her! But sadly I had to delay opening her up until I got back from work..so after 6 hours I finally had the chance to open her but sadly I found some big faults:

Such as her watermelon..IT WAS CRACKED!!
From there my happiness slowly turned to sadness as i found out her right pig tail was loose..

They look so CUTE together!...ARGGHH!! it saddens me to have to (hopefully) return her to Hobby search after waiting a whole month for her...now I would have to wait even longer until I can get my hands on her again :( So now I sent an email about this to Hobby Search and hopefully I am able to get a replacement.

Stick a bit of BluTac inside the hole, it works. Be thankful it wasn't the other way around, where the paint dries and the hole is too small, it's heartbreaking :/

I've personally never tried it, but i hear people use a hairdryer to soften up the plastic and re-mould it. If that's the underside of the watermelon, it's not too noticeable is it? D:

The hairdrying method does work, but you need to know how to control the temperature. I've done it plenty of times but takes alot of practice and not as easy as it sounds. Different plastic, different effects. leave it on too long you'll get a nice glossy finish and ruin it or possibly melt the whole thing out of shape.

I've thought about doing that but I didn't want to do anything to it in case I make it worse
