Customizable Login Screens

Now someone posted something similar a little while ago. Who has taken the time to customize their look in either XP, Vista or 7? I have been using LogonStudio, which is a free program to customize the look of your logon screen using a simple interface. If anyone is interested I will create a custom login for them using this program. Just give me the anime, character, and colour scheme you want to use.

And here is the bmp image for use with the template editor. http://www.kita-kon.org/images/others/toradora.bmp . depending on you screen size and format you may need to edit the image size. If you need me to do that i could. I just need to know the screen resolution.
I forgot to mention that my screen res is 1680x1050 for those downloading this.

It's a little bit smaller than 1920x1080, which means you will not get full HD video (1080p) in full resolution. Because of this I would recommend 1920x1080 if you buy a big monitor anyway. I'm not sure how much the extra pixels matters, but I guess it feels better if you don't have to downscale bluray video -_^
Sometimes I wonder if I should get a second monitor. The reason is that even when the monitor is this big I run out of room for windows. Coding on one screen and leaving open documentation on the other one worked quite well, but then the small monitor broke and my budget told me to avoid buying a new one >_<
You should get that second monitor! I currently have 3 Syncmaster T220s and they are amazing to have. Coding in one window, video in another window, and general browsing in another. It's great!
I used two monitors at work, and it's so awesome. Tools and reference images on one screen, full screen painting on the other. So much more efficient.
Now that I'm back to using one screen, I feel robbed.
does this work for Windows 7?
This works on Vista and XP. They are both separate programs but they are both free. I posted the XP version.
Awesome! Can I request Bleach'a Zaraki Kenpachi with a black colour scheme please? Preferably with Zaraki looking REALLY badass/scary?

hmmm... what is your screen resolution? I've made one 1440x900 and 1024x768. Its important to make the image look good.
Mine's 1280x800. Very odd screen I have.

This one though seems to allow you to move the login box. Which is nice considering where the login box is usually placed on the screen, blocking the image.
how to move the login icons to the side ??
In the program I just posted there are 2 commands user account. Panel Width and and Account. fooling around with those will change the location of the logins.

same here lol, makes me wish i did use it. since I'm the only person to ever use the PC, i just left it open since its faster to skip log screen. (downloaded the program just in case)

I never really considered modding the login screen. In a way I see it as unneeded since I rarely look at it. I just need to log in ASAP and that's it and I even set it to log in automatically when booting (needed for scheduled recordings in EyeTV). It would be somewhat different if I ran a multiuser system where I would go back to the login screen once in a while though.
I guess it could be a bit more useful in Windows than in OSX as waking up from sleep and booting seems to make you end up with the login screen. I'm not sure if you can turn that off though.
There is an option in Windows to turn off booting from sleep. Its under the display options.
I use Osaka (Azumanga Daioh) as my logon screen.
But I was using brute force to change the logon screen (I hack it) XD

Did you install the correct program for your operating system? Did you open LogonStudio and set it as the current template?
I installed correctly. I create a new one. I just replaced the middle screen with a wallpaper. Then I test it. It got a bug for me, I can't see where to select my account and click it. I have to fiddle around with my mouse and keyboard before manage to log in to my account, and thank goodness, I did not put any password. But when i used your template, it worked fine. So, any suggestion of what I went wrong doing?
There is an option to change the gamma settings of the login section. for some reason i think the default is extrememly low. 255 max gamma >> 0 no gamma
I couldnt exactly find these gamma setting?, or is it alpha?

Actually, i try again, from scratch again, and I make all the parameters the same as your template, with different picture from my computer. And it failed again (means i can't click the login area). The solution i come up with, is to make copies of your template, modify it and save it with other name, good thing the template is not locked up. Only that works.
That's truly a weird glitch you have there... That is a simple work around. I will look around on the software companies site to look if there is a fix for that glitch.

I did...i used nothing more than what was provided...took me a couple of tries but i eventually got it...the instructions wasn't that precise so i had to guess....
