Gundam 00 1/100 Designer Color Ed.

Posted by sadhvi [www]

This is a model kit that i got from ebay and im actually pleased with it. It looks pretty cool with the led lighting and looking at this makes me wonder how huge the Perfect Grade version will be. This kit was my most favorite HG model in 00.

At the moment I'm using one called Micro Set by Microscale Industries that's made in the US, but I know that a more popular one especially for Gunpla is Mr. Mark Setter. Also, I would recommend using sandpaper or a file to work on the nubs since they do show up quite a bit.

I've got the 1/100 NG 00 Raiser myself and I love it. I was tempted to get the version you have because I want the GN Sword 3, but I decided to wait for the PG.

Would decal setter even work on standard stickers? i ONLY use them on water slides, which actually need the chemical setting solution?

You're on the right track man, decal setting solution is only for water slide decals and nothing else. Regular and clear stickers don't need the solution to stay in place properly. I would recommend using topcoat as a finishing touch though. Topcoat is good for all types of decals and stickers because it provides a thin and clear protective layer which helps prolong the life of the decals.

problem is, bandai screw us customer again
those marking, ARE NOT decals, they are stickers
its not even a dry decal that need to be rubbed on parts, its just "stick and done"

these thing will happen to any "designer color" version of 00 NG
might as well buy a "designer color" decal than buy a "designer color" full fledged NG

all the decals with the "designers colors" NG kits are just stickers. you have to buy the separate ones to get proper water slides.

though samueldecals now reproduces the designers decals in 1/144 so you can put them on HG kits instead.

Everything on the 00 raiser is nice and all but unfortunately the 1/100 NG isn't able to support the 0-Raiser add-ons on the side... Really turned me away from buying this model. MG Version would be nice.. But PG is pushing the limits on my wallet.

It would be nice if the MG version comes in this colour scheme also. It's so so much better than the default colour.
