Need help

Ok guys my mom was thinking about getting Moe for me since I really wanted her. I'm kinda new to buying dollfies and stuff. I could participate in a lottery but how good are my chances? Or could I just buy her from here:
http://www.volks.co.jp/en/dollfiedream/characters/moe/index_moe.aspx without the risk of losing 500$, or would it be the same as a lottery? Please help.

Ok. If I were you, I'd just buy the doll. Lotteries... The chance of winning is so low, it's not even funny.
But before you buy it, look around, and see if you can find her for less. :D
I sure as hell wouldn't be paying $500 for some dollfie (my personal choice. I hate dollfies actually.)

Yeah I might end up doing that, but I don't know if the buying thing is going to be the same as the lottery *sigh* I might have to do the lottery thing...

With the lottery, I'm pretty sure you have to pay anyway.

(totally agree with you on price tag though, ridiculous... :| )

Its all part of the Lottery Emiri.

You click on that link.. and your entered into the lottery. Is how it works. I'd say you've a fair to midland chance of winning her. And remember there is usually an after event too where you get another chance.

If you go with the Japanese website you've more competition.. for said item, then the US site.. but.. from the japanese web site it'll come a lot quicker then from the US.

I got both Rin and Sasara from Lotteries at the Volks International Website. And both times I signed up for the lottery very early. As for the link you provided, that's actually the sale page or the Japanese website. To my recollection, They'd only be available in Japan at that time. you might want to try your luck at the Volks USA website.

You may also want to get the opinion of Wolfenreich, he's been pretty used to these purchases. Anyway, Good luck and congratulations. Looking forward to your adoption of her. :D

From what I see, there is a pretty good chance of winning in Lottery from Volks USA. I also won my Sasara from Volks USA Lottery. Though I'm not sure of how good a chance of winning lottery from Volks International. But there are many DC members who won DD's in these Lotteries. Good Luck!! (^^)

I say go for the lottery on the Volks USA site. I participated in the lotteries for both Fate and Sasara and I won both of them so I think your chances are pretty good for winning. As for finding a dollfie cheaper outside of the Volks website could be difficult. There are no stores that sell dollfies in my area, but I have been to stores that do sell doffies and they usually sell them at a higher price than what the website charge.
But that is just my experience.

It seems like your under the assumption that you have to pay in full to enter the lottery and get a chance to win a dollfie, sorry if I assumed incorrectly, but when you place an entry for the lottery in the Volks USA site you provide your method of payment first but Volks will not bill you if you do not win. It's just done that way so that the transaction moves smoothly if you do win I think.

Hope this helps with your decision and good luck with your adoption!

The lottery system with Volks is not a literal gamble, as if you fail to win a doll, you get refunded, or not charged, depending on which site you use(the INC site does not charge until you win, whereas IIRC, the US site charges first to stop people from placing multiple proxy lottery entries). And as far as I have noticed with lottery draws of DDs, while they are listed as limited edition, they are produced in considerably larger numbers than the SDs, and most people who enter the lottery do tend to win.

As someone who've had to resort ro post lottery auction for a lot of my own collection, I definately recommend doing the lottery first and resorting to auctioning for her if you don't win. There is always the unfortunate mark up for any doll in demand for post lottery dolls(although less popular dolls might even drop in price a little). Do a little research to see post lottery prices on DDs, see if the price range is acceptable before you decide.

Oh thank goodness. I thought if you didin't win= no refund. Well at least you get your money back.

Just enter the lottery like many above have already mentioned, it's the best way. Any other methods will most certainly requires you to fork over 30% more money.
