Birthday Doll Meet
A couple of weeks ago, Manami's "mom" had her birthday at a mutual friends house up in Charlotte. She invited me and some other close friends for a combo doll meet/B-day get together so I brought a few of my girls along that she requested to see.
Since the meet was at AsianEd's place, I had the opportunity to take photos of his wonderful DD girls! His fiancee Lovelily also has her dolls there so it was quite a large group!

It's really funny because the owner of that was sooo close to giving it to Rei! But I said no, Rei doesn't need one right now. She can wait a little for one.... she doesn't need to be nabbing other peoples gifts! XD

I am also a HUGE fan of the 01 heads. And seeing her on the MDD body is just too sweet. Umi is a great little girl and sees my Mamimi as her older sister. Those two are so cute together. =3

Oh it's Rei's first birthday on Feb. 4th! So we're inviting all the DD owners who live in our state to come by for the party. We're thinking balloons, streamers, cake! A big party for everyone! XD Probably karaoke and such too.
A lot of my favorite girls from figure.fm are going to appear like Poof's Agatha, Cryx's Sasara, and kymaera with whoever he brings. >XD Can't wait!

LOL! I have the same problem.... *IS* it a problem? XD Ed's Rin is very different from Scripples... she's way more mellow and pretty fun most of the time. And to my surprise she can be a little echhi too! So yeah, WAY different than Scripple's girl.
Whoa! Heheh, now I want to see one Rin reacting to a photostory featuring the other. . .
LOL! Now that could be really funny! I wonder if I can get Ed to make a story with his girl doing all sorts of things that Scripple would NEVER do. XD

Looks like the meet was a blast! Rei was adorable with that Uglydoll, I can totally see why it's her sort of thing. (I can see her and Sango being fans of Gaz in Invader Zim, too.) And it's hilarious that Yoko has her own Boota now, or, as I liked to call him when I watched the show a few months ago, "Tha Powah Pig".

Ha ha... we did have a great time. We ate way too much, pigged out on cake and then talked shop for a while. Rei really wants one of those Ugly Dolls so I guess I have to start trying to find one she likes for her next birthday in September. =3 And even tho it's not "Tha Powah Pig", this one made a good stand in for Yoko. XD
Heheh, I can imagine her carrying one of those around and snuggling with it at night. :)
And hey, you don't know yet whether or not this one qualifies as a Powah Pig. . . I'd say keep an eye on her when that pig's around, especially if you've been watching sci fi or fantasy anime with her--she could get ideas!

She is the first and only SQ Labs girl I've seen in person. And altho she has a different look to her than I'm used to, I really like her. Ed did a great job with her for sure.

Heh... Ed really likes her too. He was happy I got one but when I explained how much I paid for her, he got really mad at me. XD Sorry buddy! And yes, I think I'm super lucky to have gotten her when I did.

You an have him. He has a bad attitude. Since he was a rescue, he has problems with how people pet him. If you touch him anywhere near his ears, he will swipe you with his claws in a heartbeat. He also doesn't like you initiating petting... he prefers to rub on you to have you pet him. Otherwise, he'll claw you. He's mellowed a bit since the last time I saw him but he did slice my hand pretty good so he and I aren't on speaking terms right now. :P

Sofie is funny.... she's a bit fidgety too but not as much as Dakota. She gets up onto everything and has to poke her nose into everything too. So when she showed up on the table, I had to get a pic of her.

Thank you very much! Oh yes, Ed and I are huge Top Gear fans! I watch them on BBC America but he downloads his from online so he is a season or two ahead of what we see on TV here. We were watching the India special and it is excellent!

Yep, we had a great time! If you aren't on DoA, see if you can get an invite. I didn't think there were any doll owners near me but after getting on DoA, I found that we had meets here in town as well as other closeby areas. So you may have someone near you, you just don't know it yet! =3

Thanks! We all had a good time and my girls always enjoy seeing Ed's girls. I like seeing them too because so far, they are the only other DD's I've seen in person. Nobody else in the area seems to own any DD's. :( I wish there were more DD owners near us to share with. ^_^
