Mashiro's school uniform
For Christmas, I bought the Volks Natsuki School Uniform to give to Mashiro. I hadn't had time to let her model it until now. I asked if she would let me take pics of her in it and while she agreed, she seems to be a little shy and stiff with her posing. I'm sure since this is her first real photoshoot with noone else around except her, she's just a bit nervous. :)
Please excuse the first half of the photos for being so saturated. I was using my new lens, a Sigma 70mm-300mm and it was giving me some greif due to the dark jacket soaking up all the light I had. I tried to make adjustments but nothing seemed to work well. But when she took off the jacket, things went back to normal. XD I really do enjoy this lens but I still need to play with it more so I can avoid the washed out look I get on her skin.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy seeing Mashiro in her school uniform! =3
Mashiro is all set to do some posing for me. The baggy socks she is using didn't come with this set.... I just love how they look so I added them over the regular socks.

Now this was the last picture I took WITHOUT a tripod. After I took this one, I suddenly recalled that I had one in the back closet. I went and grabbed it and after it was all set up, I was amazed at what it did for the picture quality!
THIS is the first pic I took using a tripod. Looks like I need to use one ALL the time with this lens! XD
I really love her tail! It curves around her legs so nicely here. She's just too adorable! =3

Nice shot. I know what you mean, using a tripod is night and day sometimes. If I can, I always prefer to use a tripod!
Thank you! I've never used a tripod with any of my photos so this was an eye opener for me! Especially with this new lens which is a lot larger than the other one I use. I'll make sure to use a tripod all the time now!

She does look good in that set. Funny how different the vibe is without the jacket versus with it--with it, definitely a school uniform, but for some reason without it I think "Tech Support Mashiro". XD

Tech support? XD You're so silly sometimes. Maybe if she was wearing some glasses I could see that better. This was the first time I'd used a tripod so I had no idea how helpful they were. I'll have to use one more often now!

I think white skinned would work well for her. It will all depend on what head you want to use tho as white skinned heads are usually harder to find that the normal ones.
I was thinking of an 03 head :) because she generally has a worried look on her face, so I think it would work well ;)

I love the school uniform but it is the girl who's wearing it that make the difference !! She is such a beautiful girl ! Your experience with the tripod made me think I should probably try to use mine once in a while ,it made a big difference .And it was so sweet at the end when she asked for a hug !!!! I almost cried ;)

With my other camera lens, I really didn't need a tripod to get good focus and details. but this larger lens is heavy and harder to keep still so a tripod DID make a big difference for me. So whenever I use this lens again, I'll make sure to have the tripod ready!

Yes I was sewed about 5 month ago the white ears and tail! But I have sew the white dress but I don't have time... exams, school, commission... One day Yukino will be white kitty!=^.~=

Oh yeah, those Kogal baggy socks are a real big thing for me. I saw them years back in some of the first animes I watched and have had a bit of an obsession with them ever since. XD

Hahahaha I'm surprised she kept the jacket on as long as she did. But then again Mashiro is still pretty new and has to get warmed up to the way your girls do things. If this would have been Manami I'm sure that jacket would have been ripped off and on the floor by the 2nd picture....LOL! XD
Well, I had to get pics of the jacket since it's a part of the outfit! Plus, I'm not going to not show it when it cost what it did. XD And yes, had this been any of my DDdy girls showing this off, that jacket would have been history quickly. LOL Yoko may have kept it on for a pic or two longer than the others tho...
You sir know I am no stranger to paying insane amounts for some of the outfits I have for my girls. XD So I understand completely that you wanted to get some shots with the jacket on her. What's the good in paying all that money if you don't get to see the outfit complete for a few pics. :) Mashiro made a great model and really showed how awesome the outfit is, with and without the jacket. ^_^
Awwwwww I just thought of something, it's too bad this outfit won't fit Yoko. I think she would look awesome in it too! Perhaps some mixing and matching from you could get something similar for Yoko? :D That would be something I would like to see. :)

Oh I can definitely put together a school girl uniform of a similar style for Yoko. And what's even cooler is I just got something from my Mom that will just compliment the whole school girl look PERFECTLY. =3

Thank you! With this lens, it seems the tripod is a needed accessory. But that's fine as long as I keep getting good pics like this from using it.
I love how expressive her tail can be! I just wish her ears were able to move around better. The way Volks uses a cheap ribbon to attach them is just terrible in my opinion. I need to see about making another way for them to attach better.

That uniform looks stunning on Mashiro. I knew as soon as I seen that in her Christmas gifts that it would look fantastic on her. I loved how you wrapped her tail around her leg, so CUTE!!! And adding the baggy socks to the outfit, brilliant! It made it even more adorable. ^_^
It's amazing how much the tri-pod helped and also removing the jacket. It's crazy how little things like that can totally 360 the outcome of a picture. But you managed to get some wonderful shots of her and I'm sure she will warm up as a model. XD She's already demanding hugs and making you hearts, that's a good start! :D
I was going to give that uniform to Miyuki at first but I found her other stuff instead so Mashiro got it. =3 She does look cute as hell in it tho.
And yes, such stupid things can make or break a picture quickly. That's why I keep saying I'm still learning how to take pics. if I was better with settings, I wouldn't have these problems. but that's ok, I'm happy to take more pics to practice!
I agree that mashiro is finally warming up to me and I'm glad. Pre-Xmas she was still calling me "Mister" which grated on my last nerve. XD So spending time withher sisters and me has made her a little more comfy with me. =3
