Happy Birthday Mariko!
Okay, technically, it was my birthday, not hers, but most of my birthday presents were for her. I got Mariko shortly before I left for college, so I didn't have time to get her any outfits before I left. That means that for my birthday, I asked for a lot of things for her, since the only thing I had for her was the lingerie she came in.
I've been really sick for the past two weeks, so finally getting my package from Dollmore was a great mood booster.

The first thing that I put Mariko in was Dollmore's "Happy Scent Dress". The name absolutely cracks me up. The detail on the dress is astounding, and I'm so happy that it fit her. It's a Super Dollfie outfit, so I was worried it wouldn't fit over her chest.

The main dress has lacy straps and an under skirt that makes her dress poof out, and it also comes with a little puffy sleeved jacket to go over it.

Here Mariko enjoys the "happy scent" of one of the flowers from the arrangement my father got my for my birthday.

Mariko feels so comfortable lounging around in her new dress.

I think this is one of my favorite pictures I took of her in this dress. She looks so peaceful.

After we finished taking pictures in her white dress, Mariko put on her new school uniform for the first time. She'd never worn a button-up shirt before, so it took her a little while to get everything looking just right.

I thought Mariko would be more embarrassed than she was of me taking a picture of her putting her skirt on, but I don't think she minded at all.

Putting the finishing touches on her uniform.

I wanted to avoid black when I bought Mariko's outfits, but I thought this uniform was just too cute to pass up. I really like cardigans, so I couldn't pass it up.

When I was posing her, I decided to go looking for a small book for her to hold, and ended up finding an old fashioned desk and chair! It belonged to one of my American Girls when I was little, and we must have kept the desk hidden away somewhere. It was the perfect size, and had a little notebook and pencil tucked away inside.

Here you can see that the desk opens, and the chair swivels to the side to make it easy to sit down.

Also inside the desk was a small brown paper bag with some doll sized food in it! There was half a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a pear, and an Oreo.

Mariko enjoys her PB&J sandwich on her first day of school.
I was very pleased with the two outfits I got, and I know now that I'll be ordering a lot from Dollmore in the future. This has indeed been a happy, happy birthday for Mariko and I.

happy birthday :) Hope you're feeling better by now, what a lovely dress ^^
Thank you! I'm still feeling pretty bad, but good enough to spend some time with my daughter :)
What a pretty dress!Seeing all the pictures on here makes me want to get one even more!
And why is it whenever I hear/read the name Mariko I think of Elfen Lied? You should get some horns and a pink wig for your daughter, haha.
Thank you! X3
I've never seen Elfen Lied, so unfortunately I only know what she looks like ^^; I don't know anything about her character.
The shots turned out great!! I really like the ones of her laying down and holding the flower. *A* But the shots of her getting dressed for school are so cute!
Those were my favorites too *A*
happy birthday ^,^/~
I Want desk & chair XD
I'm so glad that we kept it! I'm pretty sure we almost sold it at one point, but I kept it for sentimental reasons; I didn't know it would be such a good idea!
American Girls stuff is all 1/3 scale?

The things like the chairs seem to fit my Dollfie Dream very well, but I don't think the things like the beds are long enough. The American Girls are very short. It would be worth investing in to see if their furniture sets fit the girls well; it would be cheaper than a lot of doll furniture.
Interesting school uniform! Me want! Hope you get better soon!
Thanks! I like how it's different from most school uniforms in that it has the cardigan instead of the blazer.
Looks great in what ya got her! Happy birthday, hope your feeling better now! Congrats!
Thank you! X3
She looks beautiful, Happy Belated birthday! I would buy things for my Daughter on my birthday too, so no worried, that schoolgirl outfit on her is gorgeous!
