Dollfie Carrying Case

Posted by Eri [www]

One of the gifts I got for my birthday was a wonderful carrying case for my daughter Mariko. I've been using her box to carry her around in up until now, and I was very impressed with the quality of the case I got from Dollmore.

Do you have a carrying case for your doll?

The case is a very pretty shade of beige with a nice brown accent design. It has small handles, as well as a large shoulder strap.

There's also a pocket in the front for me to put all her accessories, and maybe some of mine (like my cell phone or things like that). It looks very high class, but it wasn't high price, which is good.

Mariko fits perfectly inside, and there are little straps that go around her chest and her legs to keep her from moving around when she's being transported. It's a good fit length wise, and there's enough room depth-wise that if you wanted to pack some outfits on top of her, you could do so easily.

All that's left to do is zip her up, and she's ready to go!

I was tempted by doll cases before but found it kinda fiddly to have a zipped up bag when I want to quickly take my doll out, pose, take some pix, put her back and be on my way lol!

So I ended up just having a soft white towel to wrap (each of) the doll(s) up (when I am sure I'm done)and a cloth light bag without closure which fits the doll.

    Having a doll, a camera and bags to hold them can get rather heavy if I have to carry them around all day ^^;

Because I've been away from my daughter while I'm at school, I haven't really had an opportunity to take her out on photo shoots, so I'll have to see how practical it really is. I think I'll like it a lot, because I'm super paranoid, and I love having a specific case just for her.

When and if I get a doll,I will get a doll case, and modify it to look like the ones off of Rozen Maiden.Somehow.

Thanks! I think that they made one of the Rozen Maiden style doll cases for the Rozen Maiden Pullip-style dolls, but I'm not very familiar with the series, so I could be wrong.

There are a lot of nice photo spots within walking distance from my house, so it's nice to have a case I can put all my things in, toss over my shoulder, and go.

Oooh, nice. With going to college, having a case to transport her in will be convenient--there's something about college that seems to facilitate travel, both to/from the parental units' place and elsewhere, I've found. I'll have to at least look into getting a case when I get a Dollfie in the future as well.

Mariko actually stays at home instead of coming with me to college. I don't trust my suite mates, so I don't feel safe having her sitting around my dorm X:

My girls have prefered piggy backing during Cons.. they prefer to see the sights and sounds. Though on normal transport, I have bag for them.

I haven't had Mariko long enough to take her to any cons yet. She's looking forward to attending Katsucon and maybe MTAC with me in 2010, maybe with her new sister is the gods smile on me ^^

I simply adore Dollmore, especially now that I actually have some of their merchandise. This will definitely not be the last set I buy from them.

My girls get carried to where they got to go.. and get seatbelted in on the car rides, as well as rides in the van. They've lots of space to be happy in the van.. they can sit on the dash.. or on the console.. more freedom that way. I agree with Chun.. the dark inside of that bag worries me. so I'd wrap her in a white towel or something. ^_^

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I'm not planning on leaving her in there long enough to potentially stain, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I have been directed to get a Yoga bag for them. You can pick a light color that won't stain, though I wonder if you might need to add holes so air and get in...

I always thought they popped the bubble wrap each time they needed more air...Either way, this bag does look nice. Eri, I see a small compartment on the side, about how much stuff can that hold?

I can't find a ruler or tape measure for the exact size, but it's about two inches wider than my hand (I'm a girl, so I have relatively small hands), and about as tall as my hand. It looks like it would hold little things best, like shoes, or small accessories. I'll probably use it to transport my camera and my cell phone when I'm out doing shoots.

Dollfies currently hold the world record for holding their breaths the longest amount of time.

I use a yoga mat bag :) It's the right height and padded for protection. If I'm going on an extended journey I'll put a face protector over Momoko's face so her eyelashes don't get smooshed, but most of the time she's fine without it. The bag I got is bright red so I can keep an eye on it and other people are less likely to sit on it.
