if i was to bring my figma around down here, i would get the sour looks from people young and old. so i just keep them at home. however with gunpla its a different story

Yea... In America, bringing toys to school is all good in Elementary, but once you're through with that, if you brought a toy with you (especially a figure), you'd get laughed at.

Nice pics. Tsukasa is a darling, but i'd never go to school with any
figure/doll collectable. They could get lost, damages, stolen, and I want to be respectable at school.

I have mine in my dorm. I guess it's different though, I don't bring them to class, though it would be interesting to see the reactions of people.

So this is the damage you mentioned... I can see it's similar to what happened to my dear Kagamin.
How exactly did it happen? How were you bending her leg?
    Anyway - don't worry, it's fixable! ^^

You're brave bringing your figures to school... I never considered that! I wouldn't be able to use them when there were other people around though >.< but could maybe bring them out in a free period ^^

        Ouch! That looks painful D:
My Kagamiku had a similar accident with her arm
Well, you can always superglue the joint back, but, she won't be as poseable anymore D:

Ouch...My first thought was you obtained her already? As my local shop has yet to stock up on anything newer than Konata summer version.
Then I scroll down to the tragedy.... I can't believe it's still happening to newer Figmas!

Opposed to most people who've commented, the people at my school love my figures ^^; I've never actually brought them to school, but I used them for a presentation and everyone in my class was smitten by them (they were my nendoroids). But I don't think I could bear to bring them to school, I'd hate myself if I lost a peice or got a scratch on it. But I do take them out to dinner with the family :D

I do bring my figma and nendoroid to my work place and the faculty/classroom. The students kept playing with it which made me kinda nervous because I was afraid it gets dirty (you some people have those hands) or even break (like your case). Well bring them helps catch attention and I even did a campaign in the uni about having figmas 'makes life enjoyable'. Surprisingly, the idea hanging at the campus gallery.

In high school, we had a gunpla club and would bring our models both completed, and being built every friday. I had a hard case for some game system would always put them inside of it. I only recently got into figure collecting (man its expensive and addicting lol) so I dont really have the opportunity to bring them with me. Good thing about college is most people there dont care what youre into unlike high school.

I remember how traumatizing it was to see my Suzaku arm snap off, he was my first figma, and I was left speechless for a while. I ended up super gluing him together, so he can't move one of his arms, but I love posing him with Lelouch anyway. It taught me not to tinker with him so much ;-; I'm sorry to hear about Tsukasa, but that's precisely the reason I leave my girls at home, if anything, I'll take out my Nendos, but not my figmas!
