Ohayocon 2012: My First Anime Convention! - The Loot
Greetings!
Now that Ohayocon 2012 has drawn to a close, it's time to take a look at what I acquired. I wasn't really sure if I would find anything worth buying at an anime convention, but I found a few good things.
And so, here is my loot from Ohayocon 2012!

It's not much, but I consider quality over quantity. That, and the fact that I still have a fifth year of college to pay for.
My loot is actually just three items: the shirt, the wall scroll, and the figma. The other stuff is things from panels and the like, plus my badge. The paper was from the Hiragana panel; it has a list of useful Japanese phrases and greetings, as well as my own notes and hiragana writing on the back. Even so, I still have a long way to go if I want to learn Japanese and not look like a stupid foreigner whenever I make it to Japan.
Moving right along...

This Hatsune Miku shirt was just too adorable to pass up. I debated about getting it for a while, but Miku's cuteness made me cave. I'm pretty sure people will give me strange looks when I'm wearing this.

Aw, she's even singing musical notes and such! Perfect for a musician such as myself.

Next up is a Hatsune Miku wall scroll! Even though I saw it on display at the convention, I was surprised by how large this thing was when I unfurled it myself. Now my dorm room walls won't be as boring as they are now. And until I can find some hooks, a healthy dose of manila Scotch tape will have to hold it up for now.
A great first wall scroll!

My last bit of loot is none other than the figma version of Mirai Suenaga!
I was surprised to find her at the convention, let alone other figmas that had been sold out online for months on end. It was tough to decide which one to get, but I settled on Mirai. After all, finding Danny's website is part of what sparked my interest in Japanese culture and kept it going. It's only fitting that I have some merchandise of his cute mascot character.
With that, my photos of Ohayocon 2012 are complete. With one anime convention under my belt, would I attend Ohayocon 2013 or another anime convention sometime in the future?
The answer is a definite yes!
My photos from the first day of Ohayocon 2012 can be found here, and my photos from the second day of Ohayocon 2012 can be found here.

Nice loots!
I see that you live in a dorm. ^^ I managed to get out of dorm life so I could keep my otaku space intact.
