ZAKUS can be CUTE!
This is my entry for the Cutest Super-Deformed (SD) category for the Gunpla building contest. I used a SD Gunner Zaku Warrior Lunamaria Custom kit from Gundam Seed Destiny.

How long I've built Gunpla - Actually I only just started a few months ago so I definitely need more practice.
Gunpla I'd like Bandai to make: I guess more character/pilot themed Gundams, any scale, preferably SD though.
I guess I kinda went a little crazy with the pictures. But it was so much fun assembling the scenes and taking the pictures so I kept on going ^^; I think I decided to just submit so I'd stop taking pictures..lol.. For the most part, I tried using only Bandai figures/toys for the scenery.

Officially, Zaku units in Destiny are called ZAKU Warriors...
I've never understood the gem things personally on Gundams. I think that the SD Zaku is cuter as it is. This just seems a little tacky to me honestly.
The first Lunamaria gashapon figure on 2nd pic didn't look like her. I thought it was a guy at first!
Nice bling bling there. The amount of other stuffs to create the scenes are awesome too.
Maybe a bit overboard on the blinginess. But otherwise, this was a very entertaining post! It could easily have been contender for Most Amusing as well.
yea i was thinking about that too. but i thought, it's a SD gundam so SD category? maybe i should run a poll..lol
I think Most Amusing is a pretty good fit - take the Zaku on its own as a model, and it's okay but not that special, we've all seen bedazzled Gundams before, but what really adds 200% charm and style is the awesome story shots - your picture gallery practically makes it a diorama, and I loved the shopping center idea. Just the pic of Frog freaking out in the Gashapon center alone makes it wonderful. If I saw a postcard of that for sale I'd send it out to someone.
It's all very reminiscent of... hmmm... what would a girl call it? The opposite of a manly SPORTS MONTAGE in a movie, where the pretty pretty Zaku is out on a town on a shopping montage with funky indie pop music. Set that thing to music and add a video :D
Well, I'm not sure I like the gems idea much. But some of the picture ideas were good. I'm curious though, where did you find the micro modeling supplies from?
Those are toys made by Re-ment. I've actually started doll collecting recently so they are fun accessories for 1/6 scale dolls/figures.
