And Then There Were Three
Greetings!
It's been a crazy week, and, thankfully, it's almost over. Now that I've found some time in my busy schedule, I'd like to formally introduce the newest addition to my figure collection.
What surprised me about this new figure was I found her at Ohayocon 2012 a little over a week ago, even though she was sold out wherever I looked online. Not only that, there were several other figmas at the convention that caught my eye (many of which were also sold out online). I didn't want to spend too much at the convention, so I had to decide on one. After much debate, I made my decision. With that, I'm happy to introduce the third member of my figure collection:
Figma Number 088: Mirai Suenaga!
Since I got her at Ohayocon 2012, there's no mail package to open or anything, so let's go straight to the standard package photos!

Mirai's package is of the same type as Saber's package. Overall, it's relatively simple in terms of design and colors when compared to Saber and Miku Append. Still, that characteristic Culture Japan orange speaks for itself.
Even after being in stasis for an extra week, Mirai still looks pretty cheerful!

Side 1 of the package. Mirai-chan is just too cute!

The back of the package. A constant reminder for me to start learning Japanese so I can actually read this and have a better chance of working for Danny someday after I finish my college education.

Side 2 of the package.

The top of the package, with Mirai-chan and her little doll version being cute as always.

Compared to Miku-chan and Saber, Mirai-chan has the smallest amount of additional parts. Still, what figma has their own laptop, camera, and doll? I bet there's going to be many a fight over that laptop...as long as they don't figure out how my own laptop works...that could be a problem. Looks like everything is present and accounted for!
Now to get Mirai out of stasis...

And here she is! I noticed that her hair and face parts are a bit temperamental (i.e., prone to falling off if not secured properly). Also, the joints were a bit stiff, but they'll loosen up over time. Regardless of those little things, Mirai-chan more than makes up for it in sheer cuteness.
Hi Mirai-chan!

With that, my figure collection now stands at three: Hatsune Miku Append Version, Saber Armor Version, and Mirai Suenaga. In the coming months, two more figmas will arrive. I guess you could say I'm hooked...
The Awakened Virtual Diva, the King of Knights, and Danny Choo's main mascot character. Something tells me that there will be some very interesting shenanigans in my future. And I have a brilliant idea for that figma-sized doll.
Since finding Danny Choo's website was one of many things that revived my interest in Japan and allowed me to develop a genuine interest in Japanese culture, it made sense to get my hands on the lovely Mirai-chan. One of these days, I'll share how I wound up on dannychoo.com and figure.fm, as well as what sparked my interest in Japan.

Mirai~chan is super cute! Hope to see your collection grow even more!
Mirai-chan is indeed super cute...second only to Hatsune Miku!
I'm also looking forward to seeing my collection grow...provided I can still pay for the fifth year of my dual degree.
I picked up the Mirai Figma At Yodobashi next to Akihabara station last summer when I went to Japan. Still haven't gotten around to un-boxing the figmas I picked up there,
found the Saber Armour ver. two weeks ago at G-Anime.. Now I that one, casual clothes ver, and the Saber H-A ver. ^_^
i would like to see your collection in the future
i was like you when i started, my first three was haruhi suzumiya summer uni, rin kagamine and len kagamine and in a years time, i have 74 figmas and ongoing
I don't have that many right now as monkeynekobutt, only 14 in 2 years of struggling to collect some Figmas, if everything goes well this year I might get a boost in my collection but I have to be patient, my first 3 were Saber armor, Vita and BRS, take care of them so they could last long happy lives with you ^_^
