Aquarium - Gundam 00
This is my aquascaped aquarium with ruined 00 gundams inspired by the 2nd ED of Gundam 00 2nd Season.
Basically its a 40gallon long tank (4ft wide x 1.5ft tall) stocked with:
- Neon Tetras
- Glowlight Tetras
- Black Gold Tetras
- Angel Fish
- Siamese Algae Eaters
- Guppies
- A molly
- A platy
- Cherry Red Shrimp
As for gundams, the ones in the tank are:
- 00 Qant
- Harute
- Zabanya
I started this project back in August 2010 and it has taken me a long time to grow everything to this point. I'm still having some trouble maintaining the plants as my fish love to dig my plants out.
I have still yet to add Raphael Gundam as I haven't gotten around to building it. I get really lazy when I think about building a gundam, then destroying it.
This project is just a little time waster and I am probably gonna redo it somewhere down the road.
At first I thought it'd be really retarded to put gundams in an aquarium and a lot of people have discouraged me from doing so. In the end, I'm glad I did it as I gained a good amount of experience and had a lot of fun playing around with this.
If you have an idea for something, try it out! You 'll never know what you can achieve.

That is pretty darn cool! Over time it looks great :D
Yeah! Glad I kept patient!
Zabanya 1/144
00 Qant 1/144
Harute 1/144
Spot for Raphael Gundam 1/144
Excellent work!
Over time it really came to live. It looks epic. What a cool idea. It's good you didn't listen to people. Follow your own path! ^-^
Yeah definitely! I had to make a lot of adjustment, but otherwise it turned out better than expected!
Amazing work. Can't wait to see Gundam Raphael in the tank. -looks for Gundam 00 endings-
I should really get to doing that! It's just that I have to build the gundam- then battle scar it, then sink it in the tank!
Quite the long process!
Did you paint this? Did it get the worn-out look simply because of the planktons? Looks amazing.
I only battle damaged this one: i.e. beam rifle damage, scratches, broken parts.
The worn-out look was due to algae and other organisms in the tank!
I wish there was a cheap PG version for Qant- i would've used that instead and the worn out effect would be greater!
Cool! Cheap and easy way to create nice effects? I like that^^
LOL, if you were to get a cheap PG version for Qant, I'm not sure you'd want to put it in there. But I can imagine having the internals showing would be better.
Keep up the good work!
this rocks. I want to do something like it now.
I hope I somehow inspired you to do something different yourself!
It's amazing! Best picture, congratulations!
This looks great.definitely looks like the 2nd ed of Gundam 00 season 2~^^
That's great to hear! Atleast I accomplished that part. ww
really good.Keep up the good job.really like to see your Raphael now~^^
Now I have no choice but to work on it! www
Haha~glad to hear that,Now I can't wait~XD
Truly impressive!!!
Just a few questions since I might try it also.
Did you paint the kits before placing them in the tank?
Did the plastics had any ill effects towards the fishes overtime?
They were not painted- The most I did was panel lines using Gundam markers, but that disappeared over time. Paint will just break down once you put it in the water. If you want to paint them you should coat them with a good clear coat and let it cure for a long time.
The plastics did not affect the livestock or anything. If you're doing your water changes regularly, you should have no problem. Ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite spikes will be more of an issue than plastic leeching int o water.
Make the theme from Trust You, Gundam 00's ed.
That was the plan!
Good job!
Gorgeous shot and amazing idea! Great job! I want one!
