Steampunk Nanoha

Apparently, I am quite insane. After rereading the awesome webcomic Girl Genius for the umpteenth time, and staring at my Figma Nanoha, I started wondering what Nanoha would be like if she were a steampunk mad genius instead of a magical girl. The answer is "Still badass", if I do say so myself, despite the craptastic scan.

I found out that there's actually quite a bit of Victorian influence in Nanoha's costume, especially the Exceed version. The puffed-topped "mutton leg" sleeves, the high collar, even the bolero jacket are actually pretty Victorian to begin with. I just tweaked the details and the colors, really. And Raising Heart translates pretty nicely if the giant gem is turned into a small boiler. (Does that make it Boiling Heart now?)

I also started dabbling with a steampunk version of Fate, but it's not going as well. She and Bardiche don't have nearly as many steampunk or Victorian parallels as Nanoha and Raising Heart.
