A day in HK - Jockey Club
Some of you may know that Horse betting is a rather popular pastime in Hong Kong. Managed to get into the member's area when i was there via my uncle. First time going to watch a horse race in the actual place itself though. really packed with people hoping to strike a fortune.
I'll add in more pictures another time, somehow it's taking dam long to upload even 3 pictures

The 150th anniversary for the HK Jockey Club

The event we're attending, Sasa Ladies Purse Day. Not much idea why they held this though

Crowded people milling around...

...these sorts of English? style feathered hats, where many of the people were wearing.

Members area

Our room for the day, we only booked 3 tables in that room though

The Track from the top box(lol i like to call it top box like the one from Harry Potter)

people slowly filing into the public seats

The big board with all the odds and betting stuff, no idea what those tiny numbers represent- binary codes?

The betting board, except on TV in our room

A small booklet given to us telling us which horse is racing at which race, time, past winning records. Notice that they all have both chinese and english name? but they don't often fit...

I've been there once, not much of a fan of the races (mostly because I have no idea what's going on), I went there to try out the food...
