FN: Alter 1/8 Yagyu Jubei Hobby Japan Exclusive
In the December issue of Hobby Japan, Alter reveals an exclusive bikini release of the curvaceous and deadly Yagyu Jubei. She is due out in March 2010 with a retail price tag of 6,980 yen. Contrasting to the standard release which has seen repeated push back release dates to a final set date of November, figure collectors and fans may not mind waiting several more months to pick up this voluptuous version. The figure, however, can only be acquired through a mail-in order form found in this issue of Hobby Japan and must be turned in before the November 24th cut-off date, and fast as only 1,500 are planned to be produced. For overseas aficionados, acquiring Yagyu may prove to be quite the deadliest of financial endeavors.
Update: Due to the exclusivity and limited status, orders will be fulfilled via a lottery system. Those who submit forms and are selected will be given the opportunity to purchase her.

Chances are you aren't reading this right now because I know exactly where your eyes are pointing at.
Details - especially on weapons - are among the high points of Alter's production and quality.
Not exactly the best place to hide a sword, then again her target may be distracted long enough for her to deliver the killing blow.
Alter makes their mark on Yagyu, setting her up for an 'A' shaped tan line.

I saw this swimsuit version before this page was even posted, and I was like.... "why exclusive mail order? why?!!!!"

LOL. You know I'll be hunting around for her. it'd be easier to get a copy of that mag, but, there's always ebay, and ridiculous prices later, if that doesn't work.
It would seem that you slide the sword between her cleavage and use her left hand to keep the sword balanced. I don't like how they made a hole between her cleavage. Indeed, I would have preferred Alter sculpt the sword into the figurine, so the sword would be seamlessly held between her cleavage.
I can understand if some collectors prefer to display her without the swords. Choice is good. In this case, though, the option creates this "flaw" I'm not in favor of.
Other than that, I prefer this Hobby Japan Jubei over the normal version.

Yeah. It pisses me off. I really really want this, but how the heck do I get a copy of hobby mag if I'm living in the US?
The problem lies not in acquiring the magazine and sending in the form but shipping. As far as I know, they don't ship internationally which is why proxy services are needed for overseas purchasers.
I contacted one of my shops and asked if they can provide her for me. They're quite proficient in stocking mail-in order figures so chances are they can get her for me. If they can acquire another one I can give you their link.

I just came across some very interesting news over the past week which is in the update I posted.
Due to only 1,500 being produced, she will be sold through a lottery system. Sending in the form from the magazine does not guarantee that you will be able to buy her.
Online shops like ToyLet, ToysLogic, and HobbyFan actually have her up for pre-order. HOWEVER, they are basing their chances on winning the lottery in order to fulfill these orders. Therefore, even if you order through them you are not guaranteed a purchase and have to wait for them to tell you if you won. Furthermore, orders are based on a first-come-first-served basis. They may have 10 pre-orders but may only win 3 so the first 3 pre-orders will be granted, the rest will not. They may also just cancel your order entirely if they didn't win. These shops are competing against everyone else in Japan sending in forms so winning is very slim.
TokyoHunter isn't even taking pre-orders for her because of the lottery system, but he said that he will help you track her down from shops that do manage to win. Expect to pay double, triple, or even quadruple the price though....
My shop sent in some order forms for me and sent me an invoice, however, they told me specifically not to pay since they aren't sure they can get her.
In any event, it's best if you try and order from one of the small online shops. At least you know they will send in forms for the lottery. Your chances aren't any better than the others but at least you aren't left out.
