HI!
I've been somewhat lurking around for a bit after having stumbled onto dc.com. I really have no idea how or why I found danny's site, but I'm happy I did. I've always enjoyed Anime and sorta knew about figures, but never really looked into it. After seeing some of the amazing photographs of figures I just had to get some.
Yoko is my first of what looks to be many figures. I feel like I have play catch up, there are so many I want! I really want a Miku nendoroid , but can't seem to find it anywhere. Ebay scares me, well not really, but I would hate to have bought a knock off.
Now that I have a figure, I thought I'd properly say hello to this community with a few photos.
I hope I uploaded all the images correctly. I've recently converted to a digital camera, I even changed brands. I was a long time Canon eos user, now I'm sporing a Nikon. I'm was really used to film. Its been a rough transition but I'm starting to get a feel for it. Figures and lenses, I'm going to go broke very fast, but i'll be happy about it :)
This is my first photo shoot, I have a long way to go in terms of skills, but practice makes perfect :P

Welcome!
The first pictures the cutest.
Welcome to Figure.fm ^_^
Nice photo and welcome new DC members!
oops I mean welcome new Figure.fm member..
Thanks for the welcome :) Ya I like the first pic the most too.
d'awww! Yoko's saying hi! So cute! :3
Welcome to figure.fm! ^^
And about buying nendoroids on eBay -- it's relatively safe, you just need to make sure that the sellers are credible and that the nendoroids aren't sold below market price and you could probably ask the seller for actual pictures of the goods they are selling :) I've bought my nendoroid Shana from eBay (my first and only eBay purch aotm) and she's all good and legit :D
Congrats on your first post, thank you for sharing with us! Hope to see more from you soon ;D Don't worry too much about Ebay though, think the sellers you have to be most wary of are the ones from Hong Kong, though that's not always the case... it's hard to avoid the fakes >.< But you'll find your way!
Welcome to figure.fm, I'm new as well... Yoko is super cute! I really like the depth of field in the second pic, but think the first is the best. Yoko is probably my second favorite Nendoroid (Saber Lily being my favorite)!
I can't wait to get my Saber Lily!
I've bought about 20 Nendo's off e-bay with no problems so far. I would simply search for Nendoroids and look through all the pages of them on offer. Add the ones you find of interest to your watch list and soon you will build a picture of the average proces for them. You can then crop your watch list down to the the cheapest of each that you like.
Some of the online stores are even really nice and give you a discount on delivery if buying more than one item off them at the same time.
Be sure to carefully read the descriptions for each and only go for ones that are advertised as genuine. As Ninjovee mentioned above you can buy with confidence from online stores that have been round for quite some time and have good ratings. Again you would get a feel for this by watching the auctions for a little while.
Oh and welcome to Figure.fm :D
Meant to say average prices in that second line. Sigh @ no edit function.
Thanks for all the ebay shopping advice :)
Nice one on the silhouette
Thanks for the warm welcome guys :D
what a cute yoko you have!!!^^
Welcome! It's nice to see another figure photographer arising! *~*
I can never pose nendo Yoko properly. DX
Yoko looks very cute. Welcome!
By Miku, do you mean Kagamiku or Hatsune Miku?
ya I should have clearer, Hatsune Miku. I just love those vocaloids.
My Miku says that her sisters look forward to it! ^ ^
By the way, have you checked Otacute? I got my Miku from there.
Welcome ^^ I love that last photo, very awesome :3
