80's Style Hiiragi Tsukasa

Hey, look, Tsukasa's getting the hang of her mo... wait... how did a SCHOOLGIRL get a MOBILE PHONE?!? How is this possible? I mean, not just anyone has a mobile phone!
I get the feeling that the Lucky Star girls are about to go on another adventure...
If Lucky Star was made in the 80s, what would it look like? Well, this is the third pic in my 80's style series- Hiiragi Tsukasa, from "Lucky Star". The first two were Izumi Konata:
And Hiiragi Kagami:
80's Kagami
Drawn in OpenCanvas, and I used my Figma Nagato Yuki to help with the pose. You can view the High Res version on my deviantart site:

I was able to figure out Kagami, Konata and Tsukasa, but to be honest, Miyuki is going to be trickier. She's the sort of character that didn't really exist in 80's series, at least not the ones I've seen.

wow! old anime hahahaha XD

You'll have to make Patty after Miyuki! :3
Well, we'll see- I do know that I want to look into some other series, too!
Once again, this is awesome. Love the huge phone.
These are great, keep it up :)
Thanks! When I thought about Tsukasa, I remembered her with the phone, and this just came to me.

Good lord.. We used to have that cellphone!! tough bastard that is.. We would be like a couple miles in to the frickin woods and we'd still be able to order pizza.
Yeah, my Dad had a big phone when I was little in the 90s- the little phones of the time didn't have the range.

I'm seriously getting a BGC vibe out of this one, at least Nene-san. Good play on the cellular phone thing there XD I'm pretty sure it wasn't that complicated back then ^^;;;
Hmm... curious about Miyuki as well... I'm sure there are a few glasses girl back then. I'm thinking Becky from Gunsmith Cats... Oh crap, I'm going into Sonoda-ism again XD
Thanks! Even as the cellphones back then were fairly simple, they'd be pretty complex for someone who had never used one.
Miyuki is a bit tricky, but I think I've figured out something- she has a lot in common with Belldandy. That'll help me figure out some of the base design (but not all- after all, Belldandy's design is much too recent. I'll need a much older design).

altho she still lacks tha Naive look of Tsukasa... Its still looks good!!! Cute !!!

OMG THOSE HUGE PHONES!!! My parents totally have one downstairs, the first mobile phones EVER XD Oh you're a clever one, aren't you XD
Mad scientist clone (my first account broke)
Ohh those phones. Sometimes during the 80's my mom's sister saw such a phone and everybody there just stared at it and said something like you would say about a phone today, like "how did they manage to get all that into that small case?" xD
I think mobile phones can be quite useful, but I also think people turn off their brain when they turn on the phone. So many people talk on the phone on the train and if you listen to them then you realise it's not to have the conversation, but to pass the time. I was once a victim of that. Every time a certain guy were in a train he called me >_<
I survived the 80's without a mobile phone and in a way I want those happy days back. Now people expect you to bring your phone everywhere. So rude. Being away from home/office/similar is the time when you can be yourself and be offline. People should realise the beauty in this (which I think most people today are unaware of).
yay! i love the 80s. those were the good old days....wait a minute, i wasnt alive.
anyway, i wish i could draw like that. wow
