finally the most anticipate model kit arrived...just don't have the time to build it, coz i'm buzy with work, only on weekend the time i have to build this kit....it's a straight build with color

my work desk for model kit

just manage to finish the head, body, and waist

currently doing the arm...just finish coloring the finger

finish the leg and feet...just need to connect it together

the arm and shoulder

how did they do the white on the finger?sonic welded on? seperate tiny peices? stickers? paint?
actually the white part i colored it with gundam marker....if not colored it just plain blue
How did you get the marker to turn out so white? Mine usually comes out in a watered-down milky color, you do multiple layers?
that's the problem with the white Gundam marker...it usually turn out "watered-down milky color", so i did the multiple layer, its gonna take time for it to dry up thou
For colouring I do layer 1, wait for 1/2 hour, then layer two, then another 1/2 hour and so on until it looks solid enough...
That's why painting H2's broom alone took me 3 hours... ^^;
same technic i used....especially for the white gundam marker
Are you gonna seperate those fingers? O_o I don't know if i should do so when I get mine..
I wouldn't recommend separating fingers on a MG, unless it is a 2.0. Normal MG fingers tend to become loose when they are cut apart, and since the fingers only have ball joints, they are always going to be curved, so there isn't much added articulation when they are separate. What I'm trying to say is, on 2.0 MG's, theu have knuckle joints, whick allows the finger to bend, where a normal MG just has a "curved stick" with a ball joint. So even when cut, the fingers are always going to be bent like they are stuck together, so no, I don't recommend it, I did it for my Force Impulse's right hand, and I wasn't satisfied at all. But that is just my opinion.
actually I'm just gonna let it be sticking like that...no intention of separating it
Wow that was fast! I've only managed to do head and upper body sans backpack... XD
I won't be painting the fingers tho... ^^;
it took me 3 day...so busy with work, i think this is gonna be my 1st kit to be finish in a week or more :(, usually it just took me 2 day to complete an MG :P
It takes me about 3 weeks for a HG, 4-5 weeks for a NG 1/100... ^ ^;;;
bleh 3 weeks on a hg???
Yep. That's with me working on it nearly daily too.
Used to build HGs in like an hour but now I paint them, panel-line them, rid nubs to extreme, sanding...and a whole bunch of other stuff and a few parts now takes days.
I'm to wait a few months before getting mine. No money T_T
can't wait to get my hands on mine... and completely change the colour scheme!! xD
Nice Get! also nice table.. I wish had that big table lol ^^. Seeing this make me want to continue building my MG Wing Gundam Ver. Ka.. only body part is completed lolz
The white on your fingers turn out nice. White Gundam marker run out very fast because always have to do multiple layers. ^^;
i first thought that i should spray the finger white...then color the blue part, it's just that I'm no good in doing spraying, i have a white tamiya spray.. when i spray it usually get a bubble
How many colors versions does Astray have?
5 so far...
wow....fingers!
just finished the leg...and already connect the arm shoulder
