Dollfie Dream Airi ~ Infernal Tempter ~ Photo Shoot
It’s been a few days since Airi arrived at my residence, and I have to admit that I have grown to like her more and more as each day gone by. So it’s natural that I put together a photo shoot for her with a proper background~ I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do :)
The first order of business, is to recreate the pose I deemed the sexiest Airi PVC figure to-date.

I think I managed to get pretty close, I had to try several times to get her legs to position like this.

Airi has this cute ribbon on her pantsu so I just had to ask her to show that to us XD
Volks’ promotional picture really didn’t do enough justice for Airi, she is much more kawaii in person than the promotional pictures! Really have to take a close look at her face to be able to really appreciate Dollfie Airi.

The only way to get Airi is through Yahoo Japan Auction through the use of Deputy service such as Goody Japan, ShoppingMallJapan or Japan to Door. I have some example of using these deputy service in my blog.

She is very nice. I like her hair style. It's something different from what I usually see on Dollfie Dreams. My favorite shots are 2, 7, and 9.
Makes me want to give Queens Blade a chance but I've heard some negative things about the show. That's what kept me from watching so far. Things like it's an oppai fest and the action scenes are poorly animated or skipped entirely. But, some of my favorite shows were disliked by others so maybe I'll give it a shot anyways. Can't please everyone after all.
Season 1 is more fragmented as a story and a lot of emphasis was put into "bouncing oppai". Some people complained it didn't have a story but it in fact did, people just chose to ignore it. Season 2 however, has been a big change, a lot more emphasis has been put into the story and I am enjoying it a lot. It is difficult to follow season 2 without season 1, so if you plan to start watching Queen's blade, do try to start from season 1.
Ah yes, Airi has a slightly different expression than most of my other girls, very unique and has the "Love Me" written all over her face. At least that's my interpretation.

Was kind of scary to try to recreate the PVC figure pose ;s but it worked out really nice at the end. Yeah I try to emphasis on different poses to bring out their charm.

Her pantsu is very cute and rather unique because they followed the original Airi design instead of giving her a plain pantsu. Airi is pretty rare these days but I got lucky and found a reasonably priced auction for her recently~

^^; Airi is more way more charming in person than the promotional pictures done by Volks. I am so glad I decided to adopt her because I like her character because Volks' picture never did convince me to do so.

Airi definitely has a slightly different expression than most of my other girls, very unique. Her face up definitely carry some sort of message or expression instead of just a plain smile. I tried to experiment with different angles and turn of the head to give the type the message I want on these photos.
I'm a complete newbie to Dollfies -- where would one start if they were looking to buy one? Where do people get the parts and clothes to make a Dollfie like the Mikuru Asahina dollfie I've seen a few times here?
If you are looking for a specific dollfie like "Mikuru Asahina", then you only choice is to go to Yahoo Japan Auction. Since you are new to this, I do recommend that you start with a complete package. I have done a blog post to cover my experience with Yahoo Japan Auction at my blog. Another service I have used recently is ShoppingMallJapan, which is very user friendly, do recommend it.

Wolf's absolutely right, you wanna start off with a complete package if at all possible.. When I got my first little girl, Illya.. I made the mistake of not translating the auction.. And ended up with a head only.. which started a long quest to get all her other parts. (which was indeed a long quest ^^;) Moiraine Rin was my second girl.. and she came complete via the Lottery so much simpler.. Now Mikuru she was bought in peices.. cause it was more cost effective for me to do so. but for your first adoption.. I'd suggest a full dollfie in the box as it were ^_^

lolz, envy is a powerful emotion that can be channeled into powerful driving force to move forward, it's not necessarily a bad thing :P I'm kind of interested in what you see as "my tastes" though.

Panchira yes, topless rarely! I don't usually let my daughters go topless unless it's very special circumstances!

Glad you to see you think she is cute :) She is most definitely different from my other daughters and have her own style of expression. Really need to look at the full scale image to fully appreciate her though ;)

The little pout on her face really caught me, and say yes to M-bust! I am a moderate type of guy, I like my girls with proper proportion! Though, if I were to put my girls in bikini swimsuit, I would prefer the higher split line in the DDDy body.

Most of the dolls you see here is either Volks Dollfie Dream or Azone Obitsu body, composed of a plastic skeleton frame with vinyl body parts. The seamless silicone body you sometime see is manufactured by another manufacturer I am not familiar with and are more expensive and less posable I think (someone more knowledgeable in this area please correct me if I am wrong). And lastly, there is also Resin doll that are strung together by string, those are typically more "realistic" and less animeish look, quite expensive too

Oh man, you are so right, Volks' promotional pictures didn't do her any justice at all. I didn't care for her when I saw her on Volks but your pictures have me in love. She has such a gorgeous face.
Yeah Volks' promotional pictures generally over-expose their girls and lose important details. I am also very big on catching my girl at the "right" turn of the head, because if you were to look at all the shots that I took, some with just a slight turn of the head gives a completely different feel to the photo.

I like the action poses! I need to re-shoot the picture with the black strips on the ends >.>; I figured out how to get rid of it after I cleaned up everything. I really like her standard pantsu, that little ribbon is so cute so I had to ask her so show it off!
As a matter of fact, Airi outfit is lined with white cloth and do not stain for the "most part". However, there are two little black buttons for her ribbon on her back side that stained, so she is on pimple cream right now. Thinking about putting a little elmer's glue on the button so they don't touch her back directly

You're right, I am a very proud papa :) The decision to adopt Airi is most likely my most brilliant decision this month.
And besides... everyone knows that pink or light blue ribbons on pantsu are more tempting than white :P
I have a pink ribbon on white, light blue on white pantsu ready! But I am saying since this is stock issue, it's already special!

She has a really cute face, I especially like those anime style cheek marks. I don't think I've seen that on any other dollfies!

Hehe, thanks :D I had no idea that I would be taken so much by her pouty lips! I brought her home solely because I like her character. But when I took this photos set, I was overtaken by her unique face up, twin tails and those lips through my own photos LOL. If Volks' promotional pictures were a bit more representative of what she really feels like, I am sure I would have taken her home much sooner! But then again, there might not be any of her left if that was the case :P

Hi! Beautiful girl and I LOVE the scythe. I know this is old and whatnot, but I wanted to know what other avenues I had for location DD Airi since I can't find her via any of the deputy sites I used. While I do want her in all her greatness, I already have a Dollfie Dream Dynamite as well as a Dollfie Dream II (New BJD parent >.< ), and would really like to locate the scythe in itself and maybe even the outfit. Any advice?
