Tangerine MG EX-S Gundam (BANDAIAFA Entry)

Posted by defloco

This is my official entry for the BANDAIAFA freestyle category.
I live in Manila, Philippines and started building Gundam kits April of this year (2009). So far, this is my 9th MG kit. I saw this color scheme on the net a few months back and decided to build one with the same scheme for myself although I did minor alterations. Before that, had a hard time deciding to go with the tangerine color scheme at first because my painting skills aren't that good yet and I might ruin a really expensive kit. :D It took me more than a month to finish this and I'm quite satisfied how it turned out. Now it sits there on top of my display cabinet (...starting to collect dust! argh! The stand makes it impossible to place this kit inside the display cabinet!) with my other master grades. :D

*Discarded the usual "blocky-pattern" (as seen on some EX-S Gundam figures and illustrations)
*Everything was spray painted except for the boosters and cameras (or whatever those things are called) which were hand-painted.
*Clear dull coat was applied for the final touch.
* Some clear stickers (the warning signs) were from my MG Shin Musha.

To see a FAZZ (Sentinel) Gundam on a PG scale would be intresting. HEAR ME OUT BANDAI! :D

MS-303E Deepstriker color scheme. Nicely executed. The Ex-S is always very imposing as a unit.

Fantastic looking orange. I have one of these guys sitting around, haven't given him a top coat because I've been unsure of what colors to paint him.

No soot in the thrusters? You painted most of the suit but left that out, what a shame. Pretty good job otherwise.

due to its bulk, you can't really do dynamic poses with this kit. but it's one of those kits that look intimidating just by having it stand there. it's size is a real plus factor.
