Art Book Review: Ultra Jump Graphics 1999 - 2009
In celebration of Ultra Jump Magazine's 10 anniversary, UJ has released an art book collection of magazine covers called Ultra Graphics 1999 - 2009. The covers for the magazine have been drawn by everyone from Range Murata to Oh! Great and Aoi Nanase.
First off, just getting a book with this many famous artists in one place is exceptional. But not all of the cover art is featured, even though it tries to give you that impression. Ultra Graphics 1999 - 2009 is organized by year, with the oldest covers at the front of the book.

There are actually a couple images in here by Hyung-tae Kim, even though he didn't have a comic running in Ultra Jump magazine.

Since the magazine started in late 1999, only two issues were published and so both covers are pictured. But the year 2000 section has only 10 illustrations, out of which only two of the illustrations are cover art works. And it goes on this way for the rest of the book.

Here's one of those covers by Aoi Nanase. Too bad it's a small image in a small book. Hopefully it's in one of her other books. Anyone remember Magical Nyan Nyan Taruto? XD

One of the pictures by Range Murata. It was illustrated for a special edition cover. There's another half to the picture of course ^^;

I haven't tried this interface before, it's kind of neat :D This last image is by Miwa Shirow and is from DOGS/ Bullets & Carnage. There are several Miwa Shirow images in the book, which is nice since he (or she) doesn't have a completely collection anywhere yet.
I have a longer review with more pictures on my site, but I wasn't sure how this would turn out and tried baby steps :D

Looks like I need to check this out.^^
