san ba gaganapin ang bakuc manila? para naman makapunta ako't kunin este makita yang red frame mo.. : )
Robinsons Manila.... Dude..
the shoulder armors look awesome! nice mods you got going ^^
question... how did you bend those plates and leave it permanent like that?
re heat it with what? rinse it with boiled water?
Plaplates/styrene sheets and beamsd are bendable to an extent without heating and will keep that bent shape without further application of force. I "frame" it afterward with beams depending on the thickness of the plates, and 1mm beams often don't need framing. The cement actually helps in maintaining the shape when it fully cures. Once I'm sure of the shape, I over bend it, secure it with tape and apply a little more thin cement to help hold the shape.
this looks really cool .awesome work on the skirt and the armor. I have a question though. Can you please please tell me what you used for the mods? :D Been trying to look for pla-plates or whatever I could use for Gundam mods in the Philippines. thanks :D
it is a pla plate, but this dude is really crafty on it
try to look for tamiya, or "evergreen" white sheet of plastic
that's pretty much something to be attached to plastic model kit
or any ornament from beads or such... the beads you see some girls made for bracelet or such
in indonesia though, i've have my own supplier for plates other than tamiya/evergreen
thanks :) I've been reading up and searching online for gundam mods here and there. I'm trying a few things for plates recently, but I just couldn't really get me decent pla-plates here, or styrene sheets, or whatever else modelers use here locally, so i'm still searching for raw materials. lol :)
Pla plates and beams are available at Lil's Hobby shop (Park Square I and SM Mega basement). You'll also need regular and extra thin cement.
thanks a million man :) sorta been searching for a long time now. reading your blog right now. awesomeness :)
Impressive mad modding/scratch building skills! Respect given to those who show they deserve it! Although too much going on for my taste...not a fan of uber-intricate and cluttered designs. :( (i'm too much of a minimalist)
Thanks man, though, You haven't seen how other Gunpla modelers do modifications. I'm also a minimalist, and what I have done are still "minimal." I actually simpilfied the design from the original concept.
I have seen some crazy mods over the years I've been into GunPla, I've seen my fair share of ridiculous to just plain WTF mods...I am one of those people who just like the original design, kinda like the "Keita-way" of doing things but that's just me
Of course. To each his own. Simplicity and complexity is subjective after all. I have kits that I keep original, just snap-built, no paint, no modifications. I was happy being a "snapper" and couldn't really care less. But, I believe part of the adventure in any hobby is growing within it, otherwise, we're just collectors.
Yeap, too bad I stopped growing within the hobby LOL, some people might have the time to build, if I had my youth back I'd still be growing with it and doing crap load of mods well not as uber mods as some people do, plus hobbies cost money too so being a collector ain't so bad when you look at it for people who don't have time to build :|
For those asking about how the plates are bent and shaped, just check out my WIP threads on the first post.
Thnx for the enlightment
