yet, another MG Exia post
Konbanwa minna-san! Good evening everyone! I've seen a lot of posts for the recent MG Exia from Bandai and I know some of you are probably tired of seeing them, but this is a little special for me cause it's y first Master Grade and I've been building gunplas since 1999. I've seen a few straight build out there with stickers, panel-lines and what not, and very good painted ones. I didn't do many mods and customization to mine but still, I added a led for the eyes and cameras didn't apply many stickers as I don't really like them on anime based suits. What I mean is that for like, the 1/1 scale Odaiba Gundam or Katoki Hajime designs and MGs suit I wouldn't go without applying water decals but for models directly based on their anime counterpart I like to have them clean and ''like-life''. Sorry for very long post! Maybe I'll post more detailed pics after a photoshoot if you want.

Without any weapons and taking breath of fresh air...

Shot from above with different light points radiating from the suit's GN drive and cameras.

Nice painting on Setsuna, and the LED looks great!
Thanks!
nice mode!, been planning to do the with the eye *^__^*
*to do the light effect
It gives MS more life. Have fun pal!
LED everywhere ^_^
nice one. Did you paint the inside black?
The inside what? The inner frame as only been panel lined and coated. As for the head, I try to hide all the spaces where the light might come out elsewhere of the cameras and eyes. The pictures are kinda dark cause I didn't do a proper photo shoot and the light was very dim and blue.
I mean the inside of the head ^^
I heard that it must be painted black first so the light will not shine too bright.
Yes , if you want to keep the light from shining everywhere but I mostly use foil paper wrapped around the LED to focus it where I want. Both technique work great.
You said you didn't do many mods....but this is what everyone wish for, LEDs for the head! It's perfect! Nice work. XD
Thanks!! I make LED mods for all my 1/100 models. Can't help myself. I'm trying to fix all the electronics inside and but small button batteries too so I can plug them USB and be able to have a mobile power supply too. I'm starting a new project soon. Acquired all the tools and items I needed. Gonna show it soon...
