Happy Halloween!

Posted by Morgan Lamia [www]

I hope everyone's been having a great Halloween ^^ It's getting quite late here now, and we've only had the door knocked one single time from trick-or-treaters... That's Halloween here for you XD

I think it's pretty safe to say, especially here on figure.fm, that 2009 was the year of Drossel. Even though the show was from 2008, with the release of Drossel's figma, gashapon and DVDs, her popularity has really shot up this year, so... Drossel pumpkin time XD

Happy Halloween!

I don't think that there has really been a year in my last 22 years of life when I haven't carved a pumpkin for Halloween, but this year I used a new technique; having a go at skinning and carving just the skin instead of actually cutting holes in the flesh. I think it went quite well ^_^
I'm surprised at how bright her eyes turned out since they're not holes, they're just carved deeper into the pumpkin than the rest.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with this year's pumpkin, even though it was a little difficult because of using the new technique and because the pumpkin is really small. It's only about 6 inches tall, including the stalk and about 5 inches without O_O

How was your Halloween and what did you get up to? Partying? Trick-or-treating? Pumpkin carving?

Did you carve a pumpkin this year?

I've never carved pumpkins in all my life, lol. I mean sure there's Halloween here, but I just don't do anything special on this day except celebrate my dad's birthday XD

Thanks ^^ If I had a bigger pumpkin I would've done her whole body but the one I had was so tiny it would've been difficult @_@

They're gashapon which were released quite recently. There's four in a set; normal Obruchev (flight), Belinda (karate) and Greenwich (wheel). They're 400 yen each in Japan. Online-wise, they're quite difficult to get.

Forgot to mention; you can get them on eBay, but they're a little expensive.
