Per the recent discussion, we decided to recreate a hanamaru hamburger for Hina-chan.

Modeled after this one.

Though in our version the resulting hamburger is somewhat bigger than in original.

Yeah, we cheated and cut the egg with an cookie cutter. Don't know where to get the mold here.

You should look up pancake molds, Amazon sells them, and I'm sure I've seen them in Bed Bath and Beyond too. Anyway, they work just the same on eggs, since you cook pancakes the same way. And they're cheap with tons of shapes :3

Unfortunately the eggs seem to be leaking from below such molds. We have one in a heart-shaped form and we tried it already.

What you might want to do is to heat the pan up to a high temperature, so by the time you drop the egg in, it solidify quickly. You could also try to stuff something around the perimeter of the mold so it won't leak out.

Unfortunately on high-heat pan the egg not only solidifies quickly, but becomes overly hard at the bottom. We like the eggs to be nice and soft.

I think stuffing the mold perimeter poses some other challenges as well (like finding something to stuff with that won't burn/melt).

In this picture it is just classic BBQ sauce (not sure if this is present in Europe).
We also played with ketchup (not the typical ketchup you can buy in e.g. US grocery stores with just tomatoes, but Russian style with spices like hot pepper already included) which turned out to be pretty interesting.
Also later on we tried to make one out of butter, a bit of flour (for thickness), water, soy sauce, mirin and a bit of grated garlic (somewhat influenced by one of sauces from "Cooking with a Dog" on youtube. Look it up if you have not heard of it and you are interested in cooking Japanese dishes), this one is one of the more interesting combinations it seems, but still not perfect.

      We'll keep experimenting.
