Dollfie Dream Family Photo + DD Gathering Update

Posted by Wolfheinrich [www]

I originally planned to hold on to this group photo session before the Dollfie Dream Theater storyline has a chance to catch up and introduce the new character as a surprise element, but Volks USA has informed me yesterday that I have just hit the “surprise element” deadline >.>;;; Anyway, the long and short of it is that I have picked up a 2nd Sasara back in Hometown Nagoya 4 After Event party… but why should I do that? Well, I originally did that because I have no spare parts for DDDy body, so I thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to pick up a 2nd DDDy body… of course DD Gathering released DDDy body as normal item, so that blew my plan out of the water. But I kept my silence and was hoping to introduce Sasara in the Dollfie Dream Theater as a surprise character, however, Volks USA announced yesterday that they have begun sending Sasara to USA lottery winners >.>; exactly a month earlier than what they had promised.. so my so called surprised plan is not going to work anymore >.>; So, there isn’t any reason for me to hold on to this group photo anymore.

As usual, full scale images can be found in my blog.

Dollfie Dream Family Photo + DD Gathering Update

I was hoping to be able to pick up Natsuki and use this photo to celebrate the arrival of 10th daughter, but most of you already knew that didn’t work out too well since DD Gathering open web order is ruthless to anyone outside of Japan.

I included the “original” Asuka oneesan in this photo because it fit the screen better this way~ It took me quite a bit of time to balance every daughters and have them sit where I want them to be @.@;

Dollfie Dream Family Photo + DD Gathering Update

Anyone think the pose for Asuka, Escalayer and Rin look vaguely familiar? That’s right! Everything I was trying to setup in the Hikari Photo Studio was building up for this mega family photo! Since we are in the “autumn” time frame, I have switched the location to show some autumn leaves, though I think my daughters are filling up the screen more >.>;

And on a separate note, I have just received confirmation from Volks USA that I have managed to win the lottery for DD Natsuki~

The down side is I won’t be able to see her until next year, so the 10 daughters group photo will have to wait until next year >.>; Well, I should be grateful that I don’t have to pay extra money to adopt her >.>

Natsuki is HOT, somehow I think she is going to develop some kind of a “relationship” with one of my girls :P I can’t wait to put Natsuki under my own camera lens, I have a feeling that she won’t be overexposed >.>;

While DD Gathering might not have been a successful event for me, it didn’t end in total failure either, somehow I managed to pick up the Lacrosse Attack Player set, Bamboo Sword and some Skin colored body suits.

And of course, just right after the dust settled down on DD Gathering, Volks has already begun the promotional effort for Dollpa 22 >.>; I am actually praying that there won’t be anything I want in Dolpa 22, give my saving account a break! In two weeks, we will know which new Dollfie Dream would be coming out~ Their target date for distribution is Nov. 14th.

    Very nice ladies (>^^)>

Not big on dolfies but I wouldn't think twice for Saber. Speaking of which...you live where again? - preps bag with chloroform, ropes, tear gas, face mask, gloves, lock-picker, fake IDs, etc... -

OMG you have a squadron of daughters. If I had that many, I would outfit them with guns and rob a bank lol!
If they bring out a Saber Lily at Dollpa 22 then I'm definitly going adopt her without a second thought no matter how much she costs!

Well, this is what you need to do. Majority of her dress do not put tension on her body so it won't stain for the most part except the front V on her oppai. What you need to do is to put something between her dress and her oppai so they don't touch. I use Glad wrap folded in several layers so there is always a small gap.

It's kind of tricky to go this route, I had to try several times to get it just right. You want to inspect your girl every 24 hours or so for stain initially to make sure you get the correct coverage.

Okay, Thank You so much Wolf. I'll probably ask more questions to you in future. I was planning to get light or white colored clothes later. I'm a little scared (of staining) with her default outfit.

Is there anything specific you are looking for? Like an image character? All of my girls as you see in my photo are limited release image character of popular anime/game. They came to me as complete package with their respective clothes and wig.

Now, if you are building a custom character of your own, there are several places you can find clothes and wig.
      Volks store
      http://www.volksusa.com/outfits.html
where you can find reasonably priced normal clothes, all unique clothes for popular image character are of limited release and you can only find them available at a doll event for a limited amount of time. You could however find those limited release clothes in Yahoo Japan Auction.

Hobby Link Japan and Hobby Search
      http://www.hlj.com
      http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/doll
both of these stores carry clothes by Azone International, most of their clothes for the 60cm SAR body would fit a DD II M bust with little problem.

As far as wig goes, I am not as knowledgeable as some of our veterans here, I hear LUTS and Dollga make suitable wigs for Dollfie Dream.

For now, im building one for poses and dynamic angles for my art, but later I want to start to buy the limited edition ones....I really want a Sasara, or at least just the body and head since the head ia a limited edition one I cant get alone.

Is there any chance anyone would sell a sasara dollfie in the near future(dont know if this is taboo to ask here)?

Well if you are building one for poses and dynamic angles then those sources would most certainly fill your need. Sasara huh, there is a possibility that I could let my 2nd Sasara to a more suitable parent since I don't really need two of them. I got her primarily for parts but if I were to let her go, I will have to offer that chance to everyone in figure.fm

Most Yahoo Japan Auction has her priced somewhere in the 100k yen range but I have no intention committing the same crime of jacking up the price other than recovering what I had paid for her and a small handling fee. I had fronted the money two months ago after all. I will price her at $650 USD if I am going to let her go.

650 is fare, I just dont want to deal with japanese auctions, if it was person to person sale I'd commit to it. If not, I'll just funnel mony to my LWRC project. For now I'll save up the cash for it. Thanks for your help, I knew I can count on figure.fm, Now I have to hunt down a face-up artist!

It will be a paypal transaction, I would have to front additional money if I were to put her up in an auction site. If you are serious about the deal I will make a classified post here in figure.fm and there will be a little contest to decide who is the most suitable parent.

Yeah right...I bet theres 12 or more perspective "fathers" that'll pay $700 or more for her...Thats almost an AR-15 price territory there. But just incase I'll start saving. should I contact you when I get the cash(it'll be in a month and a half)?

Price is fixed, it's not the intent of this contest to ask for more money. The contest is meant to determine who is more suitable to be her future father, more money doesn't mean he will be more suitable.

I am crossing my fingers that they won't release anything I wanted. I really could use a break for my saving account :3

I spent quite a bit of time to design their poses, I am glad you enjoy them :DDD

You need to work more on a sense of beauty. ;)
E.g. my wife does not see anything interesting enough in recent Volks dollfie offerings.
Now, if only she were not thinking about Suiginto so much... ;)

Sense of beauty? Would you care to elaborate?

I mean, she is so picky that it is very hard to come of things she would like (which is good in a sense that there are not many "must have" things to buy, e.g. she does not find many of the Volks dollfies very good and worth owning).
But then when she does find something she thinks is good, it is pretty hard not to get it.

But yes, I know, tastes differ. ;)

Well for me, Dollfie Dream are the ultimate representation of the characters I adore most. So it's not about whether they are very good or worth owning, you can say I am a different type of collector.

                Right.
Please pass my condolences to your savings account ;)
                Also, lucky you!

Well, my taste is unique and I don't find many of the "current" or "trendy" characters attractive, so I will get a break that way.

There will be a series of questions, whoever got all the correct answers in the best time will be deemed most suitable father.

Oh wow, sounds like convincing a father in his daughter's hand in marriage(then paying a dowry)...or convincing BAFTE/ATF to buy a Class-3 weapon! Sounds fair, may the best suiter win.

        Thank you

Even though she may be my 2nd Sasara, but that doesn't mean I love her any less. It is my duty to find her a proper home. There is no better way than to hold a contest.

I know how you feel, that same way I felt when I sold my 91 Supra twin turbo, and my Bulgarian Arsenal Ak-74(during election season).

Yoko is not difficult to come by actually, you might even be able to acquire her at or below MSRP.

Though I could adopt some dollfies before my body starts to reform again.

Where can I adopt dollfies? Rather than working some jobs that involves meat work. -hides a big T bar used to hang by the legs and some machetes and then using meat hooks and using just brute strength to remove the limbs-
