First post since the little reset... kind of delayed since schools been bogging me down. Fortunately, I still find time to keep up with anime and manga. Today's midterm really dragged me down... so what better way to raise my spirits than to colour something? A few days ago, I came across a Darker than Black lineart of Suou Pavlichenko and I decided to colour it. 3-3.5 hours and heres what you get! More details at my DA post. Just to clarify, this isn't my lineart. I'm not skilled enough to draw something and clean it up. I'm only good at colouring. I'm open to comments, ideas or suggestions for improvement!

Very nice.. Gotta love Suou :3

I think the shading on her face is a bit dark though

I purposely chosen darker tones for this picture. I constructed my colour palette directly from DtB screenshots. I actually found all scenes with Suou to be rather dull or gloomy in colour. The skin tone and shadows are from episode 4 with the scene of Suou and July looking between Hei and the cross-dresser. I added a slight highlight to make it a bit brighter but wanted to keep it to a minimal to preserve the dark atmosphere. Though I will admit, I didn't exactly set a light source and coloured however I felt...

    Nice!
I got a question tho, for the sketch, did u draw it on a piece of paper first, then scanned it; or you just draw it right into the computer using tablet? Coz I tried using tablet in photoshop, but the lineworks are always pixelated..
